I like the fact you can switch from left hand drive to right hand drive (3mins 30) 😂, given a lot of campsites are down little obscure lanes you’d think more manufacturers would fit sat nav as standard.
A very good comprehensive review. Good luck for the future. If I could make one constructive suggestion?? Maybe go easy on the expression "really nice". I think you were into double figures on this review!!!
The auto box is a joy. The suspension is soft, which means it is comfortable but can wallow a little when driving. There is a large shelf and four cubicles above the driver, which I find are very useful, and both driver and passenger have a cup and bottle holder each. Plenty of storage space in the cab and 2x 12V sockets. There is a phone holder above the radio, which we’ve up graded to a Pioneer touch screen, with Apple CarPlay. The table can be raised and twisted to assist as extra kitchen prep area. The toilet is raised so foot placement is a little disconcerting, however, you do get used to it. The toilet roll holder is in the wrong place and will soon be bent off the wall with our left elbows. It should have been placed on the other side of the loo by the sink. Although the garage is fantastic the payload is quite small. And, because it doesn’t come with a spare tyre I’ve plonked one in the garage which reduces the available payload even more. And, we have a microwave and awning to add to the weight. The passenger’s weight also needs to be taken off the payload and we ensure we travel with empty water tanks. Because it is not a very long for the layout configuration, van the space to get around the island bed is tight with it pulled out for sleeping. The review was a little deceptive because the space looked sufficient for navigation. I’ve also fitted an extra reversing camera as the one on the van is great as a rear view mirror but less suitable for seeing obstacles close to the rear. The wardrobe has entry cut outs next to the bed to put a book or mobile phone, which can be plugged into the bed reading lights, which have a USB. In ours there was a TV bracket in the bedroom along with a 230V and 12V socket. We like that there are no overhead lockers above our heads in bed so we can sit in bed and read. Large fridge and a reasonable freezer, which automatically switches to the available power source, running as the van runs, or off the gas or hook up when parked. Overall, an excellent van, not too big, though taking it down smaller roads is daunting to impossible. And, no matter your height, the headroom in the living room and kitchen is breathtaking. I’m 6’4” and there is another 7-8 inches above me. All vans are a compromise. Overall, brilliant.
