I'm a seasoned veteran whilst watching this I've learned the dos and don't the HARD WAY 😩 Played for 1 1/2 years now So many proud achievements that I attained! This presentation reminds me of when I was new 😊
One clarification: on the AP Shell Result section, the blow up of the shell symbols shows the 3rd and 4th symbols are the same. The 4th symbol is slightly different and can be seen at time 6:16. This is a great tutorial.
I've only been playing for a few days. I do wish I had known about this video before or just after I downloaded the game my PS4. I really enjoy this game, but your tutorial is spot on.
Derka, This is very good. If Wargaming ever wanted to link training video in game, these would work, perfectly. Seriously would of watched these when I first started, would've made the growing pains a little less painful. Thank you
Coming back to these kind of videos and i can see why you need a lot of battles to "git gud" there is pletora of parameters to keep in mind while playing, for us its just natural but for a new player ? Oof... As for your video its really well made and clearly understandable, nothing really to point out, people will NEED to watch these Can't wait for the next ones

You crossed every point I would of done and then soms. well done for a starter vid. In your later vids I would definetly mention a disclaimer about the games monetization and premium time and possibly recomend a few low tier premiums as well This video was a work of art

I am so happy to see a beginner guide based on the state of the game here in mid-2022. Looking forward to more. Will have to take another look at preset 5. IIRC, I didn't like how cumbersome it made gun lock.
If you get used to using LB (xbox) for your gun lock you get the added bonus of getting the overview mode. Definitely takes getting used to. I was preset one for a few thousand battles before I switched
Last i checked i was at tier two when a *veteran* told me to delete the game and kill myself so I don’t really think most veterans were doin their jobs right 😂
@@technycal Yeah, veteran just means that you have played a game for long. An ass*hole stays an ass*hole no matter how long he played the game. Most veterans I know do not play low tiers in standard and only do their premiums in AI.
This is a great video for new players and some that aren't new. If there were more of these training videos it would make for better play from new people nice job sir 👍
Great video, Derka. I am not a new player, but I am glad you put this video together for those players who are new. It never hurts for even older players like me, to go back for some skills refresh.
Just downloaded this game...was sinking ships and dominating out of the gate...unlocked all the bells and whistles...got my first tier III...and jesus christ...reality check.
Really a good starting point, except that I am a novice to PS %, and your guide seems to be for xbox, thus all of your comments about pre-sets don't apply to my case. I'm a very senior citizen. Also, it would be great if you could slow down your pace a bit. Would be reallly great if someone could point me to such an introduction. But thanks for this info, Appreciate it.
I’m late to this but any time I shoot a torpedo in a standard game the people immediately know and go the other way but when the shoot torpedoes i don’t know they are coming until they pretty much hit me. can anybody help me
Really useful. I’ve had a real issue with the GB Battleship IV in that the turrets often stay orange and unable to fire if I go ADS (see white loaded circle to fire) , but momentarily pop out of ADS to check for torpedoes… when I snap back into ADS to aim , it refuses to fire and will not turn white. It does this within a fraction of a second, I don’t think the turrets are spun around, it seems buggy. The Cruiser and Destroyers feel nice in that you can pop in & out of zoom mode, the turrets quickly catch you up if you’ve done some wild looking around. Any tips on this?
What happens when the time ends on the campaign? Is there a week of cool off period like on world of tanks or does the next campaign start as soon as the last one finishes
@@alvinwhitehead1069 yeah man in your home port, while looking at your ship, there are boosters (flags) that can be added before each battle. Grey flag is general ship XP, Blue is commander XP, Green is Global XP, and of course you can add a credit boosting flag
@@DerkaGames I’ll give you some backstory because I like ya. The AAA afiliate of the Red Sox was based in Pawtucket RI (pronounced Puh-tuck-it.) basically forever. The shorthand name was the Pawsox even though that’s not how you pronounce the city name. (Watch the movie “outside Providence) They moved that team to Worchester and their nickname is now the Woosox. Again, not the way the city’s name is pronounced.
Hi, I'm Joey can't play rightI disagree with your position on Standard Games. They are soul crushing. The more I play Standard, the more I hate world of warships. You can not trust your team mates. Everyone is invisible accept me, and as a bonus. The empty ocean fires at you. My suggestion to fellow newbies. Play the games you stand a slight chance of winning. Stay away from Brawl, Rank, Area. Your mental health will thank you.
You won't get better unless you play standard matches. It's that simple. You can choose to stay in AI, and grind towards ships at the rate of hundreds of battles per ship, or you can watch YT videos, streams, keep playing real battles and figure out why the empty ocean is firing at you.
Following shots is over-rated. I'd rather be focusing on how the battle is going, the map, teammates, etc during the 20 seconds the shells are flying....unless you're making cinematic footage it's useless. But hey, I'm a sweat 😀
