The spec on this is simply superb. Also the best looking mid range adventure bike by a long way. At the third of the price of a BMW GS - yes please. Is the BMW 3 x better - no way in hell! Plus the BMW has much of it made in China too!😂
Actually they were Chinese at that moment, The only difference its that in that era that you mentioned they still designed and manufactured in italia and used top end materials like öllins gold line forks and brembo gold calipers and brake discs. But they got bought by QJ motors like 2005. The only difference its that benelli had liberty on their manufacture now the Chinese give them the engines, frames etc.. They have worst materials thats why the weight more. They have to compensate the lack of resistente with more sturdiness making the frames more robust than the competition But don't misunderstand they still being good bikes, And the engines (250, 300, 754,) still designed in pesaro italia
