High mileage is when the mileage doesnt equal the year model. Car’s roughly do ~15 000KMs a year, so with that if its a 2020 model you expect the mileage at the end of this year to be around 60 000KM, if its far greater than that then its a high mileage car. 2022 model with 50000 KMs on the clock is a high mileage. In my books😁 Love the videos btw🫡 inspiration
High mileage would probably be the year of manufacture against the expected number of km it's normal expected to cover with regular use let's say normal yearly milage is pegged at 40000km and it's a 2023 model if in 2024 it's at 95000km by the end of 2024 it's already high mileage
Muzi trust me, I work 9-5 as well and the only thing that gets me in a good mood after a long depressing day is the drive home in my 2023 polo gti. Those vrrrphas on my way home make me forget all about my day. Driving a boring car ain’t it bro. You can have it as a second car but I think you should always have something exciting
@Awande13 Muzi would rather have a Suzuki what what over a Porsche 911,he said so himself😂,bcos comfort is everything,u dont need a Porsche in Mabopane😂
High mileage is definitely over 100k. 60k your car probably still has warranties and service plans (brand and age dependent). Appreciate the sensibility that comes with your videos. As the owner of an i30N (arguably an entry level performance car) the performance is nice, but unless you don't care about safety or the law, you'll hardly ever use half what the car offers.
Your content is so well thought out and informative. I think many people will relate to it I'll share it with my friends so we can learn more about buying cars before we make silly mistakes
The fun thing about the performance cars and the speed limit is the feeling of getting there quickly. Getting pinned to your seat and getting that tingly feeling in your body is what makes it fun
Definitely. It's why I wouldn't mind an electric car. It'll be quiet and efficient when you're in traffic with crazy instant torque when you accelerate.
Yea but you can go fast in an Aqua or other cheap and cheerful EV. you would get a better experience doing it in a hot hatch, and feel even better in a German saloon/sedan. but then you'd have to get out of an Aqua and people see you and smile. in a BMW you get out and people spit on you oh wait no that's Audi.
its so sad/ good how ... I as someone who doesnt own a car and afford a car have soo much knowlege about cars through your channel ... and the funny part im the one advicing everyone from my family and friends as a go to person when it comes to which car to buy or not to buy ... all because i follow your content. ... i love your content man .....
Thanks, enjoy your videos, For me high mileage is above 150000 for any vehicle, Or above 30000km avg per year regardless of age. Just my opinion. My first car (Datsun 160u SSS had about 160000km on clock, but THAT was what I could afford at the time. That time cars was simplistic.
last time i requested that you to review Buscor bus, im happy i saw it passing in this video, i guess you heard my cry and can't wait for the bus review.
High Mileage for me is specific to certain cars. A bmw with high mileage for me is anything over 100000kms and out of service plan. Whereas a vw(not GTI) with 150000kms is considered high mileage. A Toyota with 200000km is high mileage. But back to your point Bra Muz, a bmw with 100000kms plus and no more factory service plan is considered high mileage ekse. Love the chanel ❤🫂 Yours truly Numba 1 fan
High mileage I would say petrol 145000km and diesel 180000km if you want to be conservative But I would still get a bmw diesel with over 120000km the engines are very strong just expensive to run Lovely video Doc I hope you get a diesel because that is what I like and would be good to see your experience or anyone’s on that
Problem with this small engine is that it's prone to accelerated wear and tear. You will need to replace the timing chain and the cooling system before 100 000km
@bukhosikhumalo3227 I've just clocked 109876km never had to change anything, I use Eco Pro and I switch off the stop/start while driving because that's the one that messes up the timing chain(upon research I made) I stand to be corrected. On take off I always use normal revs cause I know it's non-performance vehicle, only changed the turbo.
@ronz91 So that was the only major maintenance that was done on the vehicle as the old one gave in, and they had replaced it with a new one. Thankfully, the vehicle was still under BMW warranty at the time and just changed it before the 5 years was up, because the vehicle is a 2015 model. The vehicle is stock, no performance upgrades whatsoever as it's an MPV (perfect for a small family) and doesn't handle that well at high speeds.
Hi Muzi, thank you for great video as always... I love good sound so my car has to have a nice amd powerful factory fitted sound system, do you think it is worth to pay extra and opt for Harman Kardon instead of Hi-Fi Loudspeaker?
Hey Bro, excellent video! Just loved your moment of silence😂. In my view a high miler is when a vehicle has done in excess of 20 000km per year. So.4 years old more than 80 000kms on the clock. Less than 10000 km per year would be acceptable to me as a 2nd hand vehicle.
in 2021 October my sister bought this car white in colour , blue seats and blue red purple what what on a grill. I have driven it for sometime nyana it feels so premium shame👌👌👌 1 it moves faster compared to her previous 118i. You reviewed blue 1 last year. 2. The sound system quality 👌👌👌 is good.
for me i think high mileage its mainly refered to any car that reach 100 000km.thats why mostly if you get high mileage cars you should consider checking service plan history of the car
@muzi has a chance to do the most watched car RU-vid series in SA with the high mileage BMW experiment. Make it a great one! For me high mileage is 150000+ That being said almost every car ive driven has had mor than that
That auto brake system clearly shows that tech is here already with us thanks man as IT young man looking to go in automative tech industry your content is my daily food . i can easily hack that beamer with click of mercedes front h6 coded tranasmit🤣🤣
I use 2003 Corolla daily for silly work commute - On almost 300k Km and I consider it almost new. High mileage is when its close to its end. After having owned several VW Audi cars id say anything over 60k km is high mileage and you should start making plans to sell :-)
A high mileage vehicle with a petrol engine relatively starts over 100 000kms. A high mileage vehicle with a diesel engine relatively starts over 200 000kms. I once saw a high mileage diesel engine vehicle with 567 000km on the clock. However it still looks brand new with no error codes on the cluster. Jeeeeeeeer 🙆♂️
High mileage depends on your risk appetitie so it is subjective. Personally high mileage should depend on the make of the car and its reliability. It also depends on whether the specific car has been well maintained, serviced regularly and doesnt have obvious signs of wear and tear. I have seen cars with 100 000kms look much worse than cars with 200 000kms. Mileage is just one aspect of checking if a car is in good condition. Just do your checks on any used car. Dont look at mileage alone.
I did mention the acres and acres of plastic used in this 2 series. Its that hard plastic you find in a company workhorse VW caddy. For the asking price you can get two Toyota corrolas.
