I have the same motorcycle in a 2022 model...and love it! I don't understand the negative comments. No motorcycle is perfect, but this one comes close. The 10.25" TFT is great and functions very well. I have the same connectivity issues as everyone else but if you research it, some of the issues can be overcome. The 1250RT is a really great motorcycle.
Nice new bike! Hopefully you’re fully recovered from your spill and ready to enjoy two-wheeling again. I, too, have recently gotten an RT (‘22 model) in addition to the RS still in my garage. Fantastic bikes IMHO! Ride safe!
Greets from.AUS. Fantastic bike, you lucky bugger 😁👍 Got an '02 R1150RT that Ive had for about 9 years. I do still like it but Im looking to finally upgrade at some point, probs not for a few years though actually. So by then itll be the 1300RT I guess 😊. But yeah,I do like the 1250. I dont mind the display but I wish it was a little intergrated better,I mean it really does look like a smart phone/tablet stuck on the front. I do dials like the 1200RT had and Im not against the all digi display but yeah,as I said, wish it was intergrated a little better,or finished/fitted in better, you know what I mean Im sure. But what do you think?
If I had it to do over again I'd get a '21 RT. You get the shift cam engine but the old set up which frankly works better than the new tech. As much as I love this bike, I'm completely disappointed with the phone based navigation, the useless radio antenna, and that the nifty wireless charge pad that won't charge iPhones.
@@daveyator Thanks for the reply Yeah, Ive read a few comments on its gps, and the radar speed detection thing. Not all working as it should. Sometimes BMW like to add/try these new things but end up dropping them later. Like the servo assist brakes on my 1150 which they dropped later a few models into the 1200 I believe. So 2021 was the last model that didnt have that set up? Just asking as if I end up going used Id get a 2021 (or 2022?) But again, by the time Id get one maybe the new one (1300RT?) would have fixed/changed that again.
For such an expensive bike i was expecting Upside down forks and a decent display of Gauges with needles and numbers on them.. that lcd looks out of place in a bike.. we dont want smartphones attached as gauges! @@daveyator Can you tell me from what information you have deducted the tech is rubbish? I have the exact same bike in the UK and want for nothing! The display is actually very versatile and the connectivity allows easy access to my music, amazing mapping and guidance and with the shortcut buttons on the fairing, I don't even need to go into the menu!! In addition I don't want dials, I want easy to read information on MPG, Speed, Revs and gears, which is exactly what this amazing bike offers me. Since it cost £20,500 I had my choice of plenty alternative bikes and this is the one that stood out!! The only way I will change it, is when the new 1300RT comes out in a couple of years!! I will be interested to know what bike you ride??
Sure. The Nav does not re route around road closures or construction. You can’t change destination without having it pre entered into the map app. The navigation is only as good as your phone’s WiFi reception. Satellite radio cuts in and out constantly. The wireless charge does not charge iPhones (the most common phone out there) so you have to plug it in. Yes I’ve tried to have BMW look into these things but all they say is Apple’s mag safe interferes with the charger and the antenna is just the way it is. They even changed the charge pad to no avail. The video is my bike. ‘23 1250RT. I used to have a 2015RT and it had no issues.
