Watching frim Costa Rica. I was told growing up this Parade originated from the time of Slavery when the Slaves were allowed on day of Crlebration. Is this true. As a child h I have watched this Parade and I am so Proud of what and how it has grown greater and greater. I have always thought it was a Very artistic thing and expressed beautiful what Talent there was and how Music and Dance mean so much to us Bahamians. So glad I can see it on UTube. Thank you

THE COSTUMES, THE FACE PAINTING, THE DRUMS AND HORNS AND ALL THE EQUIPMENT, THE MISCELLANEOUS COSTS SOME OF US DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT ETC. ADD IT ALL UP FOR ALL THE GROUPS AT ONE JUNKANOO. I CANT IMAGINE HOW HIGH THAT FIGURE IS. THESE JUNKANOO GROUPS ALL MAKE THE BAHAMAS PROUD AS WE SHARE THIS TRADITION TO THE WORLD TWICE YEARLY. THANK YOU, BAHAMIANS, FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO. THE PERFORMERS THE ORGANISERS AND MANAGERS THE SPONSERS, THE SPECTATORS AND FOREIGN VISITORS AND THE POLICE. AS A MUSIC LOVER I RESPECT AND APPRECIATE THE COSTLY SACRIFICE MADE ANNUALLY BY ALL INVOLVED.

The discrimination in this video is very evident. Each group within certain categories (A, B and so forth) should receive equal treatment mannn. I guess you have to be on Bay to avoid that though. Next time, I’ll have my ticket.
