Hi Rick, so glad to hear about your good cancer screening! Hope the neck scan goes well. Be glad to talk to you about 501 slip! Just let me know and take care my friend! Thanks for sharing your wonderful knife collection!
Hi John, A pocket slip would be my preferred carry for this 501 - I have some business to take care of over the next few days, but I'll get a hold of you towards the end of the week. We can work out the details then...My initial thoughts would be a soft reddish brown leather, just big enough to cover the bolsters, something to drop in a front pocket. Anyway, Thanks for the kind words on my neverending health issues - who thought getting old would be so annoying! LoL Take Care My Friend ✌️🙏🇺🇸
I really like the cherry wood. Buck makes some beautiful knives. Glad to hear that your scans came back good, hoping your neck feels better too. Thanks for the video, have a good one.
Watching on tv as I comment on phone Great news about cancer screening Rick Love the Barlows Sorry to hear about the surgery Love the Buck am planning to order the 113 and was wondering what the Cherry looks like now I know and I love it Thanks JO sure makes a nice sheath Nice cup too I love to hear you sing
Buck’s praises Sorry I hit send Last week I praised Buck and Case on another channel and got called a sucker for buying American junk Thanks Rick Love your channel Be well
LoL, that's funny Terrill - I can see someone calling Case knives junk, but certainly not Buck! The only problem I've ever had with Buck was when I broke the tip off my 1st 110. Tried throwing & sticking it into a tree trunk back in 1981... lol
Hey Ricky that buck 501 is killer. The cherry wood is nice, great choice I think the price is very fair . I hope the doc can get some relief for your pain my friend.
Yeah Ryan, It was less than a GEC & I got a free coffee mug! LoL, Frank just sent the invoice for the #25 barlow as I'm typing this🤔 Thanks for everything my friend! Have a great day brother 🙏✌️🇺🇸
yeah RJ - I wasn't sure how it would turn out, thought it was a gamble. It turned out to be a wicked combo with the nickel silver bolsters. John says, just let him know. I'll be talking to him soon. Take Care My Friend ✌️🙏🇺🇸
Thanks for the well wishes Dean! Yeah it's a great little Lockback. You don't need to do a custom, the original with 420HC BOS blade & ebony covers is a great knife for the price! Thanks again brother ✌️
Fantastic news Rick!!!!! Great piece I love the one David gifted me I carry it everyday on my hip in that little soft sheath!!!!! Be safe Rick talk soon 😊
Man, I'm SOOO HAPPY that your scan came back clean as a whistle!!! We'll keep you in our prayers for your neck and the pain to go away. The BUCK is absolutely gorgeous!!! Bigger than I thought they were, too. It looks about perfect size IMHO. This past Xmas, I got that blue jigged bone Case barlow from my step-dad. I love it. Fit/Finish was actually pretty good on the one I got. Anyways, best wishes & love the video as always.
Thanks WVK! Yeah, the screen came out way better than expected - now I can go full boar🐗 on getting that "pain in the neck" fixed up! LoL Glad you're happy with Case barlow (as am I), they are truly stunning!!! I don't understand why Buck went with a belt sheath for the 501 - seems like a simple slip w/pocket clip would suffice. Again - Thanks for the prayers brother! Have a Blessed Sunday ✌️🙏🇺🇸
Thanks Eric, Ok let me know what happened through an email, I'll look for it - (sometimes I don't get notifications on that account). I don't think I've ever seen the knife Tobias sent you! I look for that video too - I love this knife brother, it has electricity run'n through it when you hold it, kinda positive energy type stuff! lol Email me✌️🙏
Hey brother, I’m very happy about your scan! As always, I’m rooting for you! The 501 is one of my favorite Knives from Buck! And that one is beautiful!!
Thanks Brother! I wasn't too sure how it would look, I've never seen one...it would have been less of a gamble if I just ordered the mainstay Rosewood or Ebony. Take Care My Friend ✌️🙏🇺🇸
Glad your health is getting better except for that "Pain in the Neck". Sounds like the Doc's gonna help. I'm suffering from "Old age disease" myself, I tell these youngsters today Enjoy your YOUTH cause Old age ain't for Sissies....Ha Ha. Anyway great lookin' Buck. I'm looking to get a Buck 55.
Thanks Tim! I've heard nothing but good things about the 55, it is high on my wish list too! OAD is definitely a pain in the neck! LoL Take Care Brother ✌️
The cherry wood looks great! I was actually carrying my Squire in the belt pouch yesterday, but most of the time I carry it in my pocket. Wonderful knife. And I'm happy to hear the good news about your scan!!!! Cheers, buddy!
Hi David - I'll use the belt sheath someday. I've been wearing stretchy sweat pants almost exclusively lately! LoL - Thanks for the kind words my friend ✌️🙏🇺🇸
It always bothered me that the backspring on my Squire wasn't flush. Is that common with buck knives? I misplaced that Squire a year or two ago, and I'm still trying to decide if I want to replace it.
@@187lennon I just looked at mine - the backspring is slightly raised at the pivot end of the knife when closed, but when opened - it is flush. I think this is done to keep pressure on the blade stock to give it more detent. (blade staying firm in the closed position) It has almost as much snap as a slipjoint when closing. I kinda like it! Thanks for pointing that out. I'll bring that up next time I do a video. My opinion: Buck Knives have a 8-10 rating on quality - good thing is you can send them back free if there is any problem (if not abused). Hope that helps my friend! Take Care ✌️
@@Warthogg1 Thank you for the information. They are very nice looking knives, and they are about as traditional as a locking blade can get. (I'm a big Case fan) Glad to hear your good health news, and I hope you can get things worked out with your neck!
I went with the 30V for one reason - they come scary sharp right from the box, easier to just hone it every now and then. I can get a blade pretty sharp - but never as good as Buck does. The 30V edge should last a bit longer than that of the 420HC. Have a great day Careoran✌️
Hey Rick I had two disc’s removed from my neck in August they were pressing on my spinal nerve causing numbness in all my fingers, still have the numbness but it’s slowly going away, but might take a year, and found out I have Scoliosis in my lower spine, just can’t win.
