Yeah whey they actually try. Problem is that during the last 40+ years they haven't tried much.

@@jostrander71 No they hell they didn't. For instance, 30 years ago saw Lexus and Mercedes blow Cadillac out of the water. Are you nuts man? GM built the worst junk possible 30 years ago. Toyota and Honda came along in the 80's and 90's and owned GM so bad to the point where they barely have any passenger cars left today. I can't believe you think no one built good cars 30 years ago.

@@MercOne 1980s cars and trucks were underpowered junk. 1990s got better with GMC building the Syclone and Typhoon, the LS1 motor showed up with the all new fresh design Corvette. GM built plenty of crappy cars just like everyone else.

@@jostrander71 They were JUNK. Detroit built JUNK in the late 70's up to the 2010s. Not sure why you're even arguing this. GM cars were underpowered in the 90's also. Cadillac had anemic 150hp V8s when others had I6 engines that made more power. 90's GM cars still had an utter trash build quality aside from being junk to drive, sit in or ride in. NO EVERYONE ELSE did not build crappy cars. Again. Lexus came out in 1990. Nothing crappy about it or undepowered like that junk Cadillac was moving at the time with FWD and NO POWER. 500SL blew the Allante OUT the water in 1990. Corvette didn't have anything special and the Typhoon and Syclone were fast but garbage. Like what are you even arguing about? Everyone else did not built crappy cars in the 90's or 2000s like GM. The foreign makes like Honda and Toyota got their grip here in the 80's because of Detroit JUNK. This isn't even arguable.

What about the P1?

@@reymenders5437 It's a great car and gorgeous machine, in my opinion. But it's too expensive. I wouldn't spend a million or more on a supercar/hypercar even if I were a billionaire. The performance of the 765LT already exceeds that of the P1, anyways. Well, at least in a straight line...although not in terms of top speed. But I'd go for both the 675LT and 765LT (and maybe even the 600LT) instead of spending so much on just 1 car. But all in all, I'd be satisfied with the new C8 Z06.

@@theranter And even? If it's so good, why did this project stay in the drawer for so long? More than 50 years! Proof that it's pretty crap.

@@avaliacarros7739 No because making a completely new architecture like a mid engined car is extremely expensive. Especially with all criteria it needed to follow to make it livable. As well as economical enough to produce.
