2023 Chevy Corvette Z51 Convertible: I Think I'm In Love 

Had mine for 2 weeks now....HTC, Z51, Rapid Blue.....and the car is amazing....just waiting to get to 500 miles so i can open it up!

At around $80k, the Stingray 2LT with Z51 package and magnetic ride control is the exact configuration I'd buy, even above the Z06 which is way beyond most drivers' capability anyway, as is the base engine, frankly. The Z06 is also way more money for not much more performance. Sure the new 5.5 V8 sounds spectacular, but that exotic sound and faster acceleration aren't worth an extra $30k in my opinion.

Take it from a HTC owner, the convertible is worth every penney above the coupe. Many reviews say it’s $7,500 above the coupe, but that’s only with the 1LT. With 2LT or 3LT, it’s $7,000. All earlier rag tops looked best with the top down, but this one looks even better than the coupe with the top up. Zero wind buffeting like the coupe, top up or down. The high percentage of buyers attests to the fact that the HTC is in high demand.

The C8 has So Many More Features for All Kinds of Driving , you didn't mention, Or Have Not experienced. You need to drive one for a week & experience all the Drive modes, It is honestly loads of capabilities & FUN. JB Huntsville, Al.

Dang I'm torn, I'd get the non-convertible just because it gives me one less thing to worry about fixing. Convertible would be nice on sunny days though.....damnit

You need to drive one with 1000 plus miles on it to really feel some power.

It’s an appealing car for sure. The convertible is so nice. I just feel like if I bought one I’d wish I had the Z06 instead.

I'll go ahead and say it: the C8 Corvette is the better modern reincarnation of the first gen NSX - mid engine RWD only , naturally aspirated engine, daily drivability, attainable ... Honda should have taken a lesson on theirs

How much heavier is the convertible than the coupe?

I’m a Porsche guy through and through I’ve had 911s for 20 something years currently a 2018 911 GT3. This corvette package is a very capable package for a decent price. My problem is all the games Chevy let’s the dealers play. I’d buy a Z06 in a heartbeat but the markups are ridiculous. I did pay $10k over on my last GT3 but I think that’s respectable because of the low production numbers . But presumably Chevy should build as many as there are buyers so why $100,000 markup? Or even more? Back on topic I’d rather go with the Targa version versus the hard top convertible. The interiors are very nice

Im a buyer at msrp and I've let several dealerships in Southern California know. None of them have taking me up on it. They insist on at least a 10k markup and I insist that I will not be paying a markup.

just don't buy it over MSRP price please ok ?
