They're called TUX mats for a reason...Cause you can tuck them in and under certain trim pieces. They also come with the clips that you also use to tuck under trim.

Did you ever notice at all if it helped reduce road noise levels on your type R? It would be an amazing test if you take a decibel reading with your iPhone at 60 mph on the same road with and without the mats.

I've been using TuxMats since 2017 on my FC1 Si, then 2020 with the FK8, and now waiting for the FL5 to arrive for my shop, Unity Performance. By far the best fir complete coverage, I don't use the included clips either and haven't ever has issues with them sliding, curling up etc. They've never interfered with the Pedals either

Did the water from the snow leak out from any of the mats?

Amazing, thanks so much for sharing. I've been looking everywhere for an FL5 Tuxmat fitment video since they dont list the FL5 specifically on their site, and this is PERFECT! They seem to provide significantly better protection than weathertech, I've read there may be issues with pedal clearance, are you experiencing any? Also, if i may ask, what seat protector do you use under your child seat?

Hopefully they come out with one specifically for the FL5

Laziest install ever...Dude come on, it's a Type-R, at least put a little effort in doing shit right. You definitely need those clips in places like the runner extensions along the seat bottoms, as well as the center channel wall, and the door sills, otherwise the mats will curl away over time. It doesn't seem like they will, but they definitely will, with daily use, UV and heat, they will curl away if you don't secure them. If you secure them from day one, the clips sorta train the mats to form fit to the car. If you don't, they'll form fit in all kinda funky ways. The mats have a "memory" to them, if you let them sag, warp, or curl, they'll stay that way. So clip them up correctly as soon as possible, if you care about getting full protection, and having the mats last.
