Good review on mats. My gen 9 Civic has Weather Tech..they have been satisfactory. I have retained OEM carpet msts under Weather Techs. Still fit fine!

Forget these floor mats man, where is the Tmaxx!? Lol I'm kidding, I know you sold them years ago (sad). I was just rewatching the bashing video and the one you made firing them back up after 8 years in 2017. Damn that was a good one. Thought I'd see if you've been up to anything recently and well, here we are! Seems like life has been going well for you and that's awesome. Would be kinda baller to add a Maxx along with the Miata and S2k, just sayin...

Thanks for the comment man! I guess those videos have aged well. I’d love to get back into it. I’ve played with the maxx a few times last year and it’s a blast. Maybe I’ll get one after my daughters are a little older

@@NAUS2K That would be full circle wouldn't it!? Appreciate the reply, glad to see you still making content. I don't own a Civic (or Miata or S2k) but will follow along regardless. I'll check out Kagu for my GS...cheers!

I would like to see how they look after being cleaned … my WeatherTech brand doesn’t clean well at all. Discoloration and fading seem to become a problem. I like the look of this brand . If they hold up and clean well , I would consider buying them. You should do an update on this product after some use … great video , thanks …

I purchased the Lasfit all-weather mats immediately after purchasing my 2024 Honda Civic and am still pleased with their quality. I've got just under 4k miles and had them all through the winter months and they've protected my carpet amazingly well. I just pressure-washed them today while at the self-wash and they look as good as new. My only hesitance was the same callout you made regarding the center branding. It's certainly not ideal but with my interior being black leather, they match perfectly and I don't even notice the logo anymore. Love your videos. My previous vehicle was also an 8th Gen Civic so watching your videos are incredibly helpful and entertaining to watch.

I bought lasfit and the coverage seems better than 3D. Also the clip is dead on and simple to this 3D where you put caps on.

Love the maxspider line. I have them in 2 cars, my only complaint is the price. Someone should knock this design off and provide a cheaper alternative.

I’m going with Lasfit & placing a custom Honda Sticker to cover the logo.

I have the OEM mats. My complaints are the same as yours. They lack necessary coverage at the pedals, and the rear seat hump is still exposed. I might replace them with the Lasfit at some point, but it’s low on my priority list of mods to get. Cheers!

I went with BEEGROW mats and cargo liner. It covers the entire driver pedal area, including the accelerator pedal. No logos clean look. Rear mat covers center hump. The cargo area covers back of the seats. Comes with door sill protectors. I did not install the door sill protectors thinking debri might get under it. Plus, who steps on that part of the sill, except for my 15 month old lol. Might be good for you with having children also. The biggest win for me was the pedal mat coverage, and it does have decent size side walls to keep liquid contained. It's not as smooth looking as yours, and I do like the caps on those tabs for the driver mat on your mats.

How are you liking your Civic? I picked up a 2024 Civic Si in Sonic Gray Pearl last month at $300 above MSRP. I had to haggle like crazy and shop around at many dealerships to get it at that price. I like the car a lot, but have been toying with the idea of trading it in toward the same model you have. One of the main reasons is the reliability factor of the naturally aspirated 2.0 engine your model comes with. I actually test drove your model (2024 year) before deciding on the Civic Si and it felt pretty zippy for what it is. I'd really like to do another test drive to make sure I could be happy with the power, but the problem is I've looked all around within several hundred miles of me, and there are only 2 available, both red, which is not a color choice I want. My biggest gripe though with the Civic Si is the rev hang. Based on your videos, I take it that the same issue would present itself on the NA 2.0 engine. The last manual Civic I owned did not have the rev hang and had decent engine braking which I really want.
@NAUS2K
@NAUS2K 8 месяцев назад
Yeah check out my video on pedal commander if you have not yet, I go over the factory throttle tuning in depth. There is very minimal rev hang when up shifting this car, it’s noticeable less than the Si. However that’s really the only situation there is no factory programmed in rev hang, all other situations are annoying. Honestly though if you already paid over msrp for an Si keep it. You will loose a bunch of $$ on a trade in for one of these and end up spending way more than you should on the sport. Plus they have the leaking hatchback issues all over which your Si won’t. The sport isn’t worth any more than the 26k sticker price and if you traded in your si so soon you would end up paying too much for a sport.
@cmbiker
@cmbiker 8 месяцев назад
@@NAUS2K Good points about losing a lot of money on trading in the Si. I guess I'll hang onto it for a while and see if it suits my needs for the long haul. I love the handling and the normal and sport mode options. In sport mode the suspension and steering tighten significantly and it feels like it is on rails. The throttle response is also a lot better in sport mode. I couldn't care less about the sunroof option and hope it doesn't develop leak issues down the road. Has the leaking issue with your hatchback? Has it been addressed or is Honda still trying to figure it out?

$300 above list price! I'm not sure what is going on over the pond, but here in the UK I've just renegotiated my already signed for deal at a better price, Honda UK are giving £4000 deposit contribution, my dealer is giving me £1500 on top too, plus the 5 year care package ( 5 year warranty from 3 years, 5 year servicing plan and 5 year breakdown/ roadside assistance) for free. 6.9% apr. Its the Civic Hybrid Advance model with the eCVT (no CVT, just electric motors) Heated seats and steering wheel, Bose system, pano roof etc. RRP £39799 list, then minus all of the savings a month, works out at about £317 per month with all deposits adding up to £10,500 inc my deposit. £20k balloon payment in 37 months. It is a very expensive car but it hasn't been selling as well as planned, but Honda UK have reacted in a more positive pricing as of now. So I imagine more will be sold.

Is your 8th gen more fun or is this one more fun to drive? I reckon the hydraulic steering just knocks it out of the park.

@@NAUS2K Just watched the video still didn't get your opinion. So the hydraulic steering has tons of feedback and is overall better than the new EPS but otherwise the car is not as fun as the new Hatch because of lack of power, LSD and bodyroll?
@NAUS2K
@NAUS2K 7 месяцев назад
My 8thgen had less body roll than this hatch because I had the hfp suspension on it with an si rear sway bar. Overall the 8th was more analog feeling and connected, the k20 in the new hatch is much more powerful than the r18 and has less rev hang, but there is much more of a numb throttle. Check out my video on pedal commander to hear all my detailed thoughts on the throttle behavior of this 11thgen

@LA-zc9rg 7 месяцев назад
Weathertech is absolute garbage. I’ve had them just over 2 years in my Audi and they’re gapping. Called for warranty claim info and was basically given ZERO help. I’m done with them… I like Xact Husky but they’re more truck like and don’t clean up well. Im willing to give the 3D a shot, they’re cheaper, look fantastic especially in a SUV or auto and clean up well.
