I am the mom to a Senior and essays and applications are our world right now... I have watched SO MANY of these but this is among my favorites. Why?? Because you were so genuinely excited about Gonzaga as you were about Berkeley. It wasn't about only the prestige but what college would be the best fit for you. I have a lot of respect for that. But seriously... the absolute BEST part was being able to see your parents give you the news about Duke. As a mom I feel what they experienced and I know how incredibly proud they must have been. Great video. Thank you for posting acceptance rates as well as a quick history of your stats... I love the videos that do that. Congratulations to you and the very best of luck to you at Duke!

I was the first kid in my high school ever accepted at Duke. It was my first choice, but even then it was super expensive. We couldn't make the numbers work. Enjoy your time there and make the most of it!

I'm a former admissions counselor and mom of three. I enjoy watching college reaction videos as my youngest will be the last to attend college (she's 12). This is by far the best reaction video, as I love how you've included your parents to open your decision letters. My older two kids did a few videos but never posted to RU-vid. I hope my youngest does. Cherish these memories, and GO DUKE! 🙂
