Wanted to give a review and some video of how and where to install an amplifier and speakers in the 2023+ model year Harley Davidson touring models. Thanks to Carlos at NVS Audio for being an innovator!

Thats a clean install. Thanks for the review... I have been seeing videos from Carlos and plan to start with the front speaker setup for my 24 RG, then wait for someone to come out with a cutting template for the bag lids.

Already working on the templates for the bag lids but it’s gonna be at least eight weeks

Have the same kit ready to go in my 24 road glide. How did you secure the factory amp to the back of the radio?

I'm curious about this too. Also as it's on the heat sink for the unit does this cause issues for either unit?

Simple Velcro holds the amp in place. It’s so tight up there nothing can move. SPL baggers offers a bracket to both the amp in place but you have to cut the headlight to make it work. I didn’t wanna cut the headlight.

Thank you for the video very informative with good clear images. Do you know how the signal for the rear speakers is extracted from the bikes loom? I can understand how the fairing speakers signal goes to the ARC Audio DSP just not too sure how NVS loom taps into the rear speaker signal? Can you advise on this one.
@AZBaggers
@AZBaggers 4 месяца назад
There is a 4 pin connection for the rear speakers and from the amp there is a 4 pin plug that sends signal to the rear speakers. just plug it in Same as the front.

Great to know just the same as the previous model that had the same outputs. I didn't know if they had done away with the one in the fairing and just had the one under the seat. Thanks again. @@AZBaggers

Do you get any "Hisses" or "pops" or any noise when radio is either off or when bike is starting? - Heard that by adding the 2nd amp adn DSP so close to stock amp creates "dirty noise" Thanks

I have never noticed what you're describing. It works flawlessly

Couldn't we just run the stock speaker level output from the Rockford amo straight to the high level input of the second Amp and not necessarily need a dsp?
@AZBaggers
@AZBaggers 3 месяца назад
I believe the digital signal needs to be converted and the DSP does that. The new system is an a-b processor like all the newer cars and requires a converter. AP-ZEn makes them for ford. Thats my understanding. But I am not an expert.

You would.also want the ability to adjust and correct for the factory Rockford system. A DSP is def a no brainer on all my bike installs. Carlos is a mentor and trained me on bike audio. Do you absolutely need one? Maybe not. But you do😉

Thank a lot brother last question the pullback risers come in 8 inch or no 🙏🙏
@AZBaggers
@AZBaggers 4 месяца назад
SO Kraus does make 8" risers. However, I found that the 10" are perfect and you can adjust the bars back and forth for reach. 8 inch will only extend past the housing about 5" There is a factory 3 inch riser under there. So dont just measure from the cover measure from the triple tree. @@g929rr

@@AZBaggersThanks for the answers on the riser setup. On my RG24 I have used an 8 inch and odi V-Twin handlebars-with my setup I didn't need to enlarge the holes. Indeed with a 10 inch Riser there would still be full visibility of the display. Many thanks again!

I would think you would have put the Hertz mid bass neo's in the tour pack speaker pods.

I did put the hertz 6.5" neo in the tour pak

@@marcmo7138 I guess I didn’t understand the differences. They are SX 165 Neo’s. Would the other ones be different
@marcmo7138
@marcmo7138 3 месяца назад
@@AZBaggers The SV165 is a mid bass. Would have been perfect in those ported pods. I would think your system would be quite bright with the cicada horns and Hertz coaxial. Supposed the dsp helps a bit though.
@NVSAUDIO
@NVSAUDIO 3 месяца назад
@@marcmo7138 The SX 165 and the SV 165 Neos both produce the same exact amount of midbass in the tour pack. We offer both and have both in stock but I like having a tweeter in the back and yes you’re correct with the DSP we can smooth out the tweeter response . You have to remember it’s the port in the tour pack that create the base not the speaker itself so whether the speaker has a tweeter or not the porch and give you the same low, frequency output

You do know that going from amp to amp is hack work, don't you? Every 12v audiophile knows this. You're creating a load on the factory amplifer which can back feed into that oem head screen, thus frying it, not to mention frying the oem Rockford amplifier. I hope you have great business insurance. You'll need it for when this customer experiences what I mentioned. Best of luck.

So how are people putting subs in their cars with factory amplified radio’s? Ive done multiple Infiniti’s with Bose amps feeding the bass amps and I have NEVER blown out a factory head unit or amp…
