Oskar my friend, top marks to your speed, toughness and your sportsmanship. Awesome effort and quite the recovery. Hope to see you dominate the u15 next year.
That”Guy” that James Launched his bike into, happened to be my son Oskar who is 13 years old. What a coincidence that James sent his bike into a rider with the the same color number. My boy has been riding since he was 5 as well. He might have finished top 20 as well if James didn’t break his finger. Oh , and he was able to hold on to his bike the whole race even with a broken finger.
Sympathies to Oskar, rough day but glad that he’s mostly ok. I’m sure if he’s that fast at 13 he’ll be a front runner next year for sure. Should be proud not only of his talent but his toughness and sportsmanship as well. Heart of a champion.
@Daniel Leppington Oh, I won't bring the drama from the Hospital into this. Let's just say you're lucky you're alive, and I'd get your wrist looked at again. I'll be in the race next year, had to get me a street bike first.
@@danielleppington Yup, been to the Ironman the last 3 years in a row (minus pandemic of course). This will be the first time I will actually race. Watching this footage is working to get myself in the zone!
@@danielleppington will do! I think that might be the same vicinity of where we camp. Towards the end of the boot, along the fence line. See you next year!
Daniel, James, I just uploaded mine if you want to check it out. The race video part is actually old footage but consistently how I ride every year- slow. We had to make some modifications this year with our camp set up lol
Good video. 2nd year doing the 100 and I finished an hour faster and got around 160th. Only fell down once on a really easy hill and thought I broke my wrist for a minute. Was only a slight sprain but it hurt.
Congrats on the finish. Sucks on the wrist, funny though, my son has a fascination with what a break feels like since he’s never broken anything. On the trip down I was explaining that when you break something, there’s not usually any ambiguity, you pretty much know it’s broken. :) unfortunately an all too familiar feeling.
Great Video Daniel. I wish I could ride like your son, what a run! I was hoping to have a video of the second wave group but my GoPro refused to work at 29 degrees... See you next year?
Excellent ride James!!! Proud Dad moments for sure!! I did the 50-59...it was nice to see his speed in video to sorta base my speed as I finished up very close...such an awesome event!
Great race on a great bike! Really enjoy your commentary, been following your D100 exploits since the WR250 year. Bought my CRF250X in 2018 b/c of your comments about the bike. Have since finished the 2019, 2022 & 2023 D50. Was a ways behind James, but am also 4 1/2 X older. 😎
@danielleppington Thank you so much i've been trying to find out that information I don't think I will be going But I would like to try it at some point You should come up to nevada To try the virginia city race VCGP
@AaronMartinCOOLVIDEO funny you should say that, we’ve been trying to get together for a run at Vegas to Reno BITD. Dream race for me. What baja used to be.
@@danielleppington never. Been living up here in North Idaho for 4 years and I wanna try. I'm older so I'm gonna try the 1 lap 50 mile race for seniors. Lol. But watching RU-vid videos on the races. Loved watching your son race, wish I was young again.
