In today's video we tune my 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD duramax and it makes a huge difference!!! GET YOURS HERE 👇🏻 www.edgeproducts.com/products...
I have an lbz. And from my research and experience, when tuned be very careful of the the 5-4 and especially 6-4 downshifts, so basically avoid higway romps. 1-4 can take quite a beating but no stock allison will live forever with more than 100hp added to it. But there is things u can do to prolong it forsure, i recommend a trans go jr shift kit, its 60$ and you cant go wrong with it
@@user-ko6vi2nm3d im sorry to hear that, i mean its easily done and most people dont know better , but whenever im "playin around" with my truck i lock her down in 4th gear and let her eat
Make sure to keep an ion on your exhaust temperatures… I assume that that tuner being a screen has the ability to watch your EGR temps and your exhaust temps?? You’ll cook that engine if she gets too hot!! Keep up the incredible work!!👍
I think a fun video idea would be to do a “daily comparison” Larry excluded since he can’t fit the car seat. But if you daily drove Chomper for a week, the LBZ for a week, and Big Betty for a week or a day each, and make a video on how daily driving each one is.
That’s nice that it doesn’t smoke all that bad my 11’ f250 smokes pretty bad when at low speed accelerating or when passing people and I’m H&S with box settings
See you’re tuning the smart way. I just threw the big tunes right on my truck out the gate and 15,000 miles later and I’ve got a $5000 built Trans now lol
I have an lly and want an edge tuner which should I get? Trying to stay on the cheap as possible side and what kinda fuel mileage should I be getting in the eco mode
I have the Edge CTS3 for an 05 Silverado 1500 5.3L and the tunes that came with it are only "drive" - "extreme" - "modify stock tune". There's no towing or economy tunes, does anyone know why??
6 months later is there any updates on these tunes? What are your thoughts? I’m trying to decide on who to go with for tunes. I’m stock as well besides downpipe, s&b cai, 5 in mbrp.
I've got the CTS-3 insight on my LBZ. The only thing you really need is the EGT probe kit. Or you could always just put a cheap EGT gauge in it, you'll have to install it yourself by drilling and tapping a hole into the passenger side exhaust manifold but it is a fucking lifesaver. Even unloaded, now that I have an EGT probe I've realized that my truck will very often have way to high egts. The key to keep your EGTs low is to be in a lower gear and have some decent RPMs. And always be glancing at that EGT.
I have a 6.0 2005 1500hd do you think the set up and tunning will be the same or where did you get the dyno cheat for the LBZ I wonder if its similar gains for 6.0 V8 ?
It won’t be similar at all bud. Put a truck Norris cam, headers, tune, and exhaust and you’ll feel a huge difference. But to be honest you’ll never feel the torque like a diesel, just the high rpm power. Also change the 317 heads out for 862 or 706’s you do not want the 317’s
Naturally aspirated Gas will not gain nearly the same as a boosted gas or diesel from just a tune. But a tune can make the driving habits much better on a gas vehicle even if mostly stock!
@@edgeproductsman sadly I live in CA where I believe this tunner is illegal , it said on your guys website that you are doing some testing for it to pass how long will that be or take ?
Hey man, I know you have a ton of experience with Edge Products, so i was hoping for some advice. I am looking to buy a cts3 insite for my dmax. I keep seeing tons of people who say they are glitchy and problematic. What is your experience with them, and are they worth it?
@fluffyhd8057 i got mine about 3 weeks ago. Boost wasn't readin. Itt read 22 lbs regardless of the truck idling or driving.....been waiting on edge for 3 weeks now to fix the problem. Their customer service has been pretty bad, never return calls, and keep saying they are working on a fix for it when I call. I am beginning to think i should have kept my money.
I've had mine for a year and a half, it glitches out every once in a while but usually it is because I leave the key in the on position to cycle the glow plugs and then start the truck so the signal is interrupted to the cts3. just unplug it and plug it back in and you'll be good in 5 to 10 seconds. I've also had an issue where it won't turn off so I just unplug it most of the time when the truck is sitting.
Built transmission is the 1st logical thing to do/build. Stock injectors are capable of 600HP. The Allison can only handle 100HP over stock. Does not make any sense to upgrade turbo or injectors before the transmission.
I was just watchin the video where you went over all your vehicles and you paid $14000 for chomper I got the exact same truck but it's red and ac didn't work got a compresser from my buddy and paid him 75 and paid $3500 for the truck you got screwed my guy
