The Ducati Scrambler's been reinvented for 2023, losing a bit of weight, gaining some tech and having its classy looks refined. But is it fun to ride? And is it worth £9,995? Join me for a full riding review on some UK B-roads, a proper walkaround, a talk through the new dashboard and some giggling.

I got one. I live in the country and gravel in roads, and other crap it handles no problem. Brilliant all round, I never do motorways unless desperate, and what he says about handling is spot in. Also super compact as opposed to monsters like RS or multistrada. It’s about the essence of biking.

Great Motorcycle ... Light Weight, Air Cooled, 2 Ridimg Modes, 2 Traction ControlLevels, 2 Cornering ABS Levels, 73 HP, Genuine Retro look, City Riding, Canyon Carving, Off Road Riding, Long Range Cruising possible but not comfortable for long distance. Yes, it is an amazing motorcycle, great for second bke to own.

I had one it’s a serious bike it’s bloody fast and first time riders the size is light but power wise you need to think twice. Amazing second bike for long term riders like myself

It is easy to ride yet powerful, well built, light and responsive, the moment you get on the saddle it seems you have always rode it

Well I had a Skoda Yeti 1.8TSI original Elegance 4x4 (one of my favourite cars ever owned) and am now about to buy a Scrambler - so maybe I am that one crossover person from Yeti to Scrambler you questioned existed!!

It was my first bike here in California. It's an excellent first bike. I believe that it does everything very well. There is nothing that I have not been able to do - except...I do not take it on the freeways here in CA. California freeway drivers are notoriously crazy! Now, I am a big guy - 6'3" and 230lbs. I can feel the Scrambler 800 reach its limits when I am doing about 70mph. I just do not feel as confident at those speeds. That may be the only downside that I can see of the bike. The bike feels a bit tapped out because of the vibrations. Obviously, the lack of wind protection and the upright position do not help with these impressions. But, let's talk about the good sides. This bike is so much fun around town and in some twisties. It has more than enough power on 45mph roads and it is so much fun to take around scenic, hilly, curvy roads. It just finds a line and goes there. I have never had another thought about the suspension, the riding position, or the brakes. That being said, this is my first bike, so I don't have much of a baseline or other bikes for which to compare. I just think it's a ton of fun. I put 3500 miles on it on my first year. I have had no mechanical issues whatsoever. I commute to work on it - about 25 miles round-trip and it brings a smile to my face when I get on it in the morning and when I get on it in the afternoon. What more can I say? Will I trade it in for a 1200 soon? Perhaps. But those are pricey. I think an XSR 900 or a BMW NineRT may be an upgrade for me. Will I trade it in for a Monster Plus? Probably not. I don't think that bike is that much of an upgrade.

Great videos, useful content I don’t know how many new riders will flood Ducati dealers to get a £10k motorcycle. Being 6’4” myself it was a bit of a challenge to find a first big bike with mid size power…the XSR700 xTribute fit the bill just fine. Do i want a bigger bike ? I do ! Am I in a hurry to get a bigger bike ? No, I’m not. The XSR puts a smile on my face every single time but at a lower price.

This is the way. I've spent more money than I dare to count changing bikes every few years... appreciating what you have is massively underrated!

@danscram
@danscram Год назад
@@MarianChicu damn good bike to be fair, if you have the skills to take it to the limits change rear sock with some decent aftermarket one, throw a set of progressive springs inside the fork (cheap option) and it will transform the bike completely, believe me ! If costs are not an issue then go for the front fork cartridge kit, a lot of good stuff out there, plenty to chose from

@danscram What are you doing here watching Ducati videos? Telling everybody how great Yamahas are, instead of watching Yamaha XSR700 xTribute videos? Do you own or work for a Yamaha Dealership?

9:10 Off topic Q: Are those cars legally parked blocking the road like that? Guessing they are as everyone seems to be doing it but even then what sort of asshat leaves a car blocking the road? Where I live that is 'hindering a carriageway' and they would be towed away at a considerable cost. Parking the wrong way around is also a no no here in Au.
@timrodierides
@timrodierides Год назад
I don't think they're illegally parked - if you weren't allowed to park there you'd have double yellow lines. Our villages were mostly designed for cows and horses and not giant vans :D

11:52 "build down to price" £10.000 starting price 🤣 no thanks... I'd rather buy a honda hornet for less than 7k and a royal enfiled hunter350 for 3k or I'd spend the 3k on h**kers in bangkok the ones with no 3 legs to be exact.
