I just have to applaud you for not only having all these wips organized, alphabetized, and categorized, but also for taking the time to show it all! I'm really gonna enjoy watching all of these videos, and I'm really looking forward to see you tackle all your milestones! But for now I've been enabled to do a bit of shopping. :) Happy stitching! ~Angela
Your optimism is on a par with mine, as I believe that I can not only start a full coverage piece but also finish it and get it framed before Christmas 2024, as well continue with my daily rotation.
You are a crazy lady!! 🤩 I wish you all the best in meeting your goals and milestones! I applaud you in your organization! 🏅. I am excited to watch you progress this year! 🤩
Jen, you can still get day to night north american splendor by Lars Stewart at heaven and earth designs. Just in case someone is interested in getting the pattern , regular size or supersized.
This has been a really awesome wip parade - I’ll be interested in knowing how many of your milestones you are able to meet this coming year. I generally only have a few wips and work on something monogamously until I get too tired of it. Currently back on “reaching Skyward” from MFE for a while.
You got a taste for those finishes...lol. I definitely find I need to do a small ornament here and there to get that finish high, so I can continue on my bigger projects without feeling like I will never finish again.
I’m working on Colorful Cow! I’m about 80% complete. I love it because of the big chunks of color, I pick a color & can just stitch without so much stopping to change colors. 😁
You must have spent hours to organise every project into categories and deciding milestones etc. When you set the goals, did you calculate them based on an estimation of how long it would take you to do a particular milestone? Presumably the total number of stitches across all the projects and all the milestones would amount to 364 days.
I'm over here dying 🤣 You're the one who made these plans, and every time you mention a full finish, your expression is WTF. Only part 2 and 77 finishes... you got this!
I feel like you explain the process pretty well except for one thing. I thought in a previous video you said the main goals would carry over into 2025? So all the finishes aren't necessarily for this year? Otherwise, with 300 projects with 4 milestones each, that's 1200 basket pulls to hit all the main goals. Am I mathing that right? Either way, your projects are fantastic and you've inspired me to set goals for my own projects!
Yes I will readdress it in my next video, this year my goals aren’t necessarily intended to be done by the end of 2024 like they were this year, I just wanted more than one or two chances to work on each one all year. The big goal is basically a way of me saying okay this piece needs to just go away so I can work on other stuff lol
This could never be for me but I am very much enjoying living vicariously. I think I might borrow your milestone idea for next year. I want to get all of my WIPs done in the new year but I think getting wins from the milestones will help me with not getting discouraged when I don’t get them all done. 😂
Totally loving the Epic motion picture mini series Jenn! I’ve been looking forward to seeing this! I’m not as organized as this, but this is definitely my kind of crazy! Can’t wait to follow your journey in 2024! You Go Girl!!!
As someone that has fewer than 20 WIPs, you are blowing my mind with the number of WIPS you have/will have! You have inspired me to begin tracking the number of stitches. I have recently begun using Notion to track my stitchy stuff. I like how it is easily configured to do the calculating for me.
Yay! Girl I have my Pom poms ready. You know I’m cheering you on🤣🤣. So jealous of all these beautiful new patterns you will be starting. You are a rockstar❤️❤️. On to Pt 3. ❤️
What I do is start a new project when I finish a project, that way I don’t feel like Ive cut myself off from all the fun of a new start. And I still work on WIPS because I love them too.
I tried to leave a comment on part one but couldn’t. It was an excellent video. You are so organized and motivating. I do have a question. When you set your goals do you start with an overall stitch count for the year and then figure out how much you can do. It seems mind boggling. I have watched you all year and so proud that your plans are no longer fake! God bless. 😇
