Just think about this, his average finish for the season is 3.7. Incredible what this young man has accomplish. Amazing talent. He deserves the title because he is consistent. NASCAR they need to start taking notes on point systems and going back to the Winston Cup ways or go back to systems that are similar to IndyCar without bullshit and without playoffs.
Maybe deserved a review, but if you watch from the top angle, it was not as egregious as the onboard looked. He was on the racing line with the rear stepping out, continued along the racing line into the light right (as did Castroneves, who has more speed), made his first move off the racing line to block right (which is legal), but when he moves back to the left to take the corner better, he was clear of Castroneves, and they were both braking, so no block. Very close, but clean imo.
Amstrong's rear back wheel got it off like Nigel Mansell's Williams in Estoril 1991. What a coincidence! 😮😮😮😮 Many cogratulations to Alex Palou for his 2nd Indycar Title after 2021 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Apologies for the late post. WOW!!! That was a crazy penultimate race for INDYCAR 2023!!! Congratulations 🎉🎈🍾🎊 to Alex Palou, repeat champion!!! Scott Dixon came OH SO CLOSE to winning his seventh title, but 2024 will be here soon enough. Now the final race for 2023, Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, my dad’s old Army station at Fort Ord. 🏁🏁🏁
Double block for Palou and not reviewed! Not the first time the stewards have decided to review one thing and not something else. They need consistency. Wouldn't have changed the outcome of the championship but still need to review what is a blatant breach of the racing rules. Even coming out after his last stop he was weaving slightly to stop Rahal going past even though Graham didn't change his line once. I know that one didn't need review as it isn't blocking if the trailing car doesn't move but it he has been doing it all season and never once been reviewed. Alex has driven well all season and deserved winner but if the stewards actually reviewed these blocking situations, then the championship would probably be a lot closer and come down to Laguna Seca.
It wasn't as obvious as Kirkwood's (what could be lol) but that was one of those marginal Verstappen-esque moves that kinda blurs the line between blocking and defending hard. I think Palou gets the benefit here because it's not really a straight per se, and if you watch from 16:29 in slow motion it looks a lot more tame than it does at full speed. fwiw, I thought it was a penalty at first too, but watching it back I don't think it's clear enough to call.
I enjoy IndyCar series more than f1 nowadays.... close racing n unpredictable in IndyCar...the f1 is so predictable n boring ... great for American racing series.... From : Malaysia ....
Why are people obsessed with conspiracy these days? A tiny lower drag configuration saves a lot of fuel without sacrificing speed (sacrifices corner grip, but they maximized it). A very simple explanation does it, yet people want the "something doesn't smell right explanation" first and foremost
@@rodrigofonseca1160 your trying to convince us that a higher wing configuration gave the 2 CGR cars 10 more laps at race pace ? Sure that's how they did it, took a little wing out of it, lol 😂 They actually passed some cars to catch the leader before he pitted. Let me guess, drafting saved fuel. Happens all the time, wing configuration lol on a road course lol
Palou blocked. The stewards response was pure rubbish. Why make rules if you do not enforce them? Or is the series leader an example of " all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others"?
Why put the winner's name in tbe top comment where everyone can see it? WTF is wrong with you Indycar? Are you trying to drive all the fans away? If I were Penske you'd be fired yesterday.
Let's go, Palou!!!! this how you win a championship, uncontested 💪 Castroneves had space around the left hand side, so, comentator, as you said: ALMOST a double block
