Yes my post is 6mo after yours but for what its worth I had to add in my 2 cents. My 2023 F150 XL 4x4 5.0L SuperCab 8' long bed cost me just over $50k. It's my daily tow work truck with a trusted and true coyote including a 3.73 rear end that gives you a little extra jolt of fun in acceleration as a bonus. I also didn't want items I had no interest in spending money on, although after a year of ownership I would have gladly paid extra for a better quality paint/primer. Once my order sheet was filled out I ended up with upgraded wheels due to the max trailer max tow package, which also included a heavy duty bumper, trans cooler, HD shocks, and the already mentioned wheels/rear end. Then the step bar, rear window defogger, tinted glass, vinyl floor, bucket seats, start/stop delete and the workstation console. For 50k I didn't spend more than I was willing to spend and I also don't have to worry about turbo stud failures among other turbo issues. Longevity? With my leftover funds I got a Viofo front/rear dash cam, Baja Designs bumoer mount fog/head lights where the OE fog lights would have been which made up for the weak stock lights - also added Yakima HD racks, Amp Research bed extender, rubber bed mat and a very nice Gen-y hitch because I saved money on the XL for things I wanted. So far in one year & just over 3,000 miles(small town)... it tows well through the hills, off road washboard fire roads and has done interstate hwy travel without a trailer @21mpg which is not bad for a V8. The STX may be nice looking but my blue bodied and blacked out everything else (but wheels) XL has me smiling every day I got to work. It is way WAY better than the previous 2005 F150 I ran into the ground by 185,000 miles and way more quiet inside too. To each his own but you can't go wrong with options that fit your needs be it flashy looks, working hard or a little of both.

This truck had only a hitch receiver, no tow pkg at all. There are 3 different tow pkg you can order

Crazy thing is that once you add heated seats you’re jumping up to at least the XLT which is 10k more at least. Just to add heated seats.

@@TheManToys XLT 302a does offer quite a bit of comforts. Power Dual Seats, Heated Seats, Remote Start, Larger Cluster and Main Infotaiment Screens, Accent Interior Trim not found on an STX, LED Headlights, Chrome Exhaust Tip. Im just on the fence if that is worth 10k ....
