Ford recommends a 1,000 mile break in period for a new Mustang GT 5.0 coyote. The break in consists of no cruise control use, varying the speeds, and keeping the RPMs under 4,000. I would recommend to anyone considering purchasing a new one to check the odometer. Make sure it reads 1 to 2 miles, 2 miles being a stretch. That way you know that someone didn't take it out for a joy ride and hammer it. I own a new one and am currently showing 304 miles. Yes it's a painful process, but I will have the piece of mind, knowing the engine was handled properly.
What did you decide on? I picked up a 2023 GT with 6 miles on it instead of going the 2024 route. I couldn't be happier with my decision. It's the 10 speed auto with active exhaust.
@@david5point0 👍 thank you, im 14 almost 15 and planning to buy a 23 before im 20, me and my family already have the money planned and i know how to drive, i just have to get my permit then license.
@@EqualGaminG_VR You got this man. I bought my first 5.0 when I was 23. Just keep grindin’ and the sky is the limit. Any more questions on Mustangs just ask brotha.
The car is easy to drive. You can’t go on what that guy said. The S550 Ford Mustang rides and handles like a Porsche. I said the same thing you said until I drove it and put it into its paces. The Camaro is trash compared to this current Mustang. Why u think GM is discontinuing the Camaro. It can’t compete. On public roads 120mph to 130mph if it’s open 2 lane interstate type road with nobody on it. Anything above 130mph take it to the track.
@nate love The Camaro isn't being discontinued because it can't compete in the performance department. It's actually a better chasis than the s550 Mustang, it's the visibility and practicality that aren't there in the Camaros.
You do get the memory seats with the standard leather. The Recaro’s lose it. I personally don’t like the Recaro’s. I love my stock premium leather. Most comfortable seats I have ever been in.
I never had a S550 Ford Mustang backend get away from me. Even under hard acceleration. You may get a small wiggle but it grips. The Camaro is the dangerous car. I had a 2021 Camaro SS I rented from Hertz. I accelerated hard one time and the backend went sideways. I said oh no it going back to Hertz. I took it back and said the wheels is pulling to the left. I lied just to get rid of it. They put me into a Jaguar XF. I knew if I kept that Camaro, I would have destroyed the car or somebody else’s car. I didn’t want that liability
@@kevonwalker8392 sorry I didn't get back to you. Take the air box cover off and you will see a plastic cage with another filter in the top. It is to prevent the back wash of gases when you stop the engine. Another California stupid thing. Just pop that plastic mesh cover off and pitch it. That extra filter is starving the engine for air robbing the extra ten HP. Is it a big deal, no but there is no good reason for it.
