The Ford Puma is a subcompact crossover SUV (B-segment). The Puma is offered with a mild hybrid 1.0 litre EcoBoost three cylinder turbo gasoline engine with a belt driven integrated starter, which uses energy from the braking system to charge the forty eight volt lithium-ion battery pack in order to increase torque and lower emissions.
It has an Auto Start-Stop system intelligently shuts off the engine when your vehicle reaches a complete standstill, such as in heavily congested traffic or at traffic lights, and seamlessly restarts it when needed. This saves fuel that would otherwise be wasted while idling and reduces overall vehicle emissions.
