This is no longer about overpaying for an expensive Hyundai pretending to be a luxury car. This looks like THE REAL DEAL. We own three Hyundais and they are perfectly reliable. I am all in on the 2023 G90.
I still would prefer the DRLs be a seperate module from the headlights. They should be a single light bar, and the headlights can be the individual LED elements. But using them both as the headlights and DRL, the dotted pattern just doesn't look premium. Kinda reminds me of the earlier matrix DRLs, when daytime running lights were first becoming a thing. Solid light bars (at least for daytime running lights) are the future IMO
Great point! I think that integrating DRLs into one would provide more room for the car designers to be creative and maybe that's one of the reasons why?

I agree I also don’t like the bar separating the 2 screens I wish it was more like a Mercedes where it’s all one piece of glass and looks like it’s one big screen when turned off.
The development of Hyundai/KIA/Genesis cars, in just a few years, is amazing. And the interior design team of Genesis should have a reward... Any inf about price for the G90? And a EV version?

except for the suspension (despite being better than the previous generation) all competitors has air springs for all four tires, this car has it on the rear only.
My wife drives a 2016 Genesis G80. She fell in love with it the first time she saw it. I couldn't afford it at first, but I had to do something to get her that Genesis. So, we leased it. When the lease was up, she didn't want to give it up. Now she wants a Genesis G90. 😵💫I'll be working the rest of my life and the afterlife. 🤔 I wonder if the dealer will take a life insurance policy or maybe I'll win the lottery. 🥺I'm doomed! 🤣😂
I bought a 2018 G80 a few months ago. Best decision I made the Bang for your buck is INCREDIBLE. And Genesis just keeps making improvements getting more impressive everyday 🔥

I totally agree it looks like they are trying too hard! The interior Is okay at best. It looks luxurious and outdated at the same time!! Not a good look overall!

Compared to the S-Class and 7 Series, the LS sold a lot less. However, compared to the G90 and Audi A8/S8, the LS fared very well, outselling G90 by more than 2:1 and the A8/S8 by almost 2:1. The incoming 2023 G90 definitely looks more elegant than the current LS (2017-present). If the LS has been out of the league for some time, why is it selling 2x better than the less expensive G90 and selling better than the Audi A8/S8? Before any of you call me a Toyota/Lexus fanboy, I drive a Genesis Coupe GT with manual transmission and I would probably keep it until it no longer runs.
the loss of the 5.0 liter Naturally Aspirated V8 affects ppl who equate 8cyl to Luxury. 420hp is Not muscle car territory but it's linear power delivery, smoothness, quietness, etc will cost the G90 customers. I guess I'll have to keep my my '20 G90 AWD 5.0 a little longer. No problem, it's been gr8 & trouble free so far 26k miles. AWESOME highway car.
Genesis is on such an impressive roll; truly it’s not unlike Toyota’s initial launch of Lexus or Nissan/Infiniti (although I wish Infiniti was still as exciting as it had been in the early days). Every Genesis has been truly impressive since its.....Genesis (sorry, ha) and if I could afford to do so my next car would absolutely be from this exceptional line up, likely the GV80 🖤
It’s completely different than Lexus. Lexus revolutionized the entire luxury industry with their cars and dealerships and customer service.. These are great competitive cars but not revolutionary in anyway. Infiniti struggled out the gate and Genesis was similar but Genesis seems to have figured things out much faster than Infiniti did.

The double line front and rear lights are so killer... and those rims are amazing... they look way better than most after market. How are they killing it so hard on design.... beautiful.
I have an 08 Lexus LS 460 and it barely has 119k miles. And I've wondered what I might want to replace it with should it ever get wrecked? (I'm very pleased with it.) But I'll take those closing doors of the Genesis G90... in about 5 years. :)
Most people would. But last time I check you can't close your door with a button on a S-Class. Maybe a Maybach. But not this S-Class. Still a beautiful and more lux car than the G90 though. G90 is just the perfect spot. Less expensive most likely and more tech. THE BETTER VALUE. But you like what you like.. No Judgement.
Agreed! 💯 with Dave. I don't think there is any argument between the S Class and G90, but just seeing what Genesis G90s have accomplished in last few decades, it's truly mind-blowing and think is the only legitimate competitor out in the current market 😉
Genesis is my favorite brand in vehicles I have had several nevertheless I have Five things I don't like about this particular car (1) The steering wheel design (2) The rear end design not really appealing The 2014 R Spec Sedan has a better rear end design language than this (3) No fog lights Not appealing and doesn't stand out at night (4) No R Spec like version with more horse power we could use a more horse power version as option two on such a beauty V8 or V12 with 500hp or up It's critical (5) No Lexicon in a Flagship Genesis you can't be serious
I just bought my 2022 GV80 after owning a Bentley Bentayga. So now i have decided to csncel my Porsche order, dropped the MB completely from my cars collection. I have never expected that there is tech company that can get you luxury correctly and on best ever cost and maintenance/warranty. Thank you Korea, thank you Hyundai, thank you the new Luxury benchmark Genesis.
I have a 2022 Genesis GV70 which is a high tech and upscale ride but Genesis keeps improving their brand and will ultimately become the name associated with affordable luxury and quality. The G90 is amazing but so are all their models.
A twin turbo v8 would really cement their seriousness with this car! U gotta go at Mercedes and bmw with authority. But i don't they will in this day in time😩
this looks way more expensive than it is, the only thing that holds me back is that there is even no demo car here in Canada right now. I like GV60 but I cant get to see them anywhere
One of the reasons why I started my channel, I can deliver videos quick since I'm in Korea. Hope Korean cars would reach other parts of the globe as quick. I know the frustration, it's the same thing here in Korea with German and European cars :'(
G70 cost a lot of money better wait a while how the car is performing. Most folks rushing to buy it are doing so for the looks of it. Let's see how it's gonna hold. The Tucson and the Santa Fe also looks and drive nice but I'm already seeing them on the car lots of other dealerships as trade-ins.
G70 does great on tracks as well, especially with 3.3T model. As for the performance, I think it actually costs less than most of the cars on similar performance scale - again, I'm talking about hardcore track drive, not a city drive here.
Absolutely gorgeous, lush and elegant. Genesis is so unique and I LOVE that you don’t see many around. I own a black 2018 G80 Sport V6 Twin Turbo with 365 hp. The windows are seriously blacked out except the windshield. It is truly menacing but classy. Black leather interior with black carbon fiber. Genesis is a brand that is subtle and beautiful. Quiet engine but it takes off like a shot. I was told the designer was formerly designing for Bentley, and it shows.
Current designers ar Hyundai, Genesis are prior world class car designers and experts in fields, no doubt. Way to enjoy your Genesis, I like your taste!
Great review and nice car, my only complaint I wish the infotainment screen was larger anyways since this car is mostly made for old people or to be chauffeured It won’t be an issue. Overall gorgeous car 🔥

Very true. SUV has been the only market that's been growing for a few years now. However; G90 being the flagship full size sedan, it will remain to be the ultimate car of Genesis over even GV90, I believe.
@@CarSceneKorea I rarely see any ‘high end’ Sudan’s on the roads these days. I just can’t imagine anyone spending over $60K or more on a Sudan when SUV’s in that price range make a more practical all season choice.
i think THE ONLY THING genesis needs to work on is their badge. the concept is perfect. the execution is lower class. we need ornate wings, and an ornate shield.

One of you looks like a peasant driving the other. Oh yea and the back seat person has to look at the back of the front seat w/ a screen tilted down. SOOOOO STUPID! Its cool because its new and you guys are drawn to that but think about it. Jesus throw in kids and your in for a fight.
The front seat has the same articulation w/ the added benefit of having someone siting behind you but now you fuked that all up w/ this stupid ass seating configuration.
The Germans are so conservative. They don't even try to style their full sized sedans. In that regard, this G90 is much sharper! My only bone with this car is the fact that they don't at least offer a high power option, hybrid or diesel like the Germans. I hope they offer more engine choices.
Think the lack of engine choices are because Genesis soon will only be offering EVs. Think the statement is backed up by thr fact that Genesis has a variety of engines to put in G90, but they only put in one engine for all.
Looks overall nice, but somehow the interior misses the mark completely. I think it is because it tries to copy Mercedes, audi, bmw all at the same time, and kinda gives me a frankenstein vibe. Also the color of the interior is atrocious. But it's almost there, almost. I also must point out that the steering wheel is trash, the logo looks like christler logo, or an airline logo, the user interface on evrything needs a polished and perhaps a futuristic redo to make it look nice, not just bland as it is now.
First let me be clear, I am not a professional car reviewer, but only a car collector who is excellent at knowing value and how to make money! I happen to own a 2021 G90 5.0 24k miles and I use it several times a week locally. Also, I just took delivery of a new 2024 G90 e supercharged Makalu Gray with white interior. This is now my wife's daily driver. Of course she gets the new one just because I like her. Plus we are married 39 years with seven adult children and 5 grandchildren. So she deserves it. WARNING BEFORE YOU CONTINUE READING and you are a Genesis basher, or a S Class or 7 Series koolaid drinker no need to read on. Only trying to assist some one seriously considering purchasing a G90 for the first time. Firstly, may I disclose that I did not buy them to try and impress people. Buying to show off Badging is for those who have an inferior complex. I didn’t buy them for speed. I simply bought them for comfortability at a great value. Unless you own one its impossible to have a valued assessment. An opinion of course, as everyone is entitled to one. I laugh when I read the comments regarding it's not fast enough. The car is not designed to be a super car. Let's be for real as it's a $101k luxury car, yes luxury car. It may be at the lower tier of luxury cars, but still is one in my opinion. I am fortunate to have purchased so many cars I have lost count. Not bad for a Non-High School grad and homeless at 17. I didn’t let that hold me back. I am so fortunate to now own several exotic cars, which is still hard to believe when I am driving them. To go from 0-60 in under 3 seconds is an amazing experience. When we track them (Yes my wife included) its simply exhilarating to say the least! I've had one S Class 2020 560 AWD 463 hp/516 lbs torque with about every upgrade available. It was in no question a beautiful car. It is an amazing and all about luxury. So its 4 years older then the 2024 G90, but cost 32k more out the door. For me the 2024 G90 is as good as the 2020 S 560. To be fair the 2024 G90 is 4 years newer than the 2020 S560 which was loaded. It was also $138k. We are more then pleased with the G 90's. We have had an excellent experience with them. We buy them out of state and they are delivered to us directly. The Genesis dealership we deal with is in Danbury Connecticut. They are a first class operation great to deal with. Honestly, not that we care but we get more looks/comments in the G 90's than the S Class ever got. Many times people ask if its a Bentley, and I always say its actually a Korean Bentley! Again, this is solely my opinion as it cost me alot of money to form it!

I loved the design so much but not sure why Genesis decided to go with the Ioniq stype dashboard. What a bummer for me, I like the dashboards of the olden days.
I feel like the "luxury" side of a luxury brand is important too. performance is kinda overrated these days because it takes away from the comfort and quality that a luxury car is supposed to have.
its a pretty car. But I have to be honest with you. I'm into EV only at this point. Not interested in gas powered and I want to support American car companies. You guys have made a lot of progress making this line into a legit luxury car. good luck
