Basically all moderately equipped 2023 Sierras are now encroaching $70k+. Even the Elevation with a few desirable options is $70k and that’s supposed to be a “mid” level trim. Better off with the Silverado alternative to save a few grand. (I was just playing around on their configurators today)
@@omardevonlittle3817 well in this market, Id be less concerned with resale value and more concerned with price out the door. Silverados also typically offer a $2500-3000 incentive below msrp even now, which widens the price delta even further. I havent seen much incentives off msrp on GMC trucks even though theyre the same.
Bought 22 RST Silverado end of Oct fir 54k....sticker was 59.5k and change.....could have bought GMC fir same price but only had Denali/AT4.... should be able to get 5-7k off sticker right now
Nice review. It would be nice for pickups if you also showed the yellow sticker with max payload capacity. So many of these trucks have shockingly low payloads when they get optioned up. Cheers!
I was set on getting a Ram Rebel, until I started seeing these trucks on the street. Picked up a brand new one last weekend and absolutely love it. So fortunate to be able to buy my dream truck at 26!
I have a 22 SLT with 6.2 and max trailering. 1400 miles and I have a failing injector on engine. According to mechanic a common issue. Insist on a pre-delivery inspection so you don’t have to go through what I am right now.
I Loved The 6.2L V8 With A 10 Speed With A 3.42 Axle Ratio Which Is A Max Trailering Package Because It Helps The Truck Go Faster I Loved The SLT The 6.2 V8 Needs 445 Horsepower & 495 Pound Feet Of Torque But It's Just Enough.
It will never happen. GM hasn't bumped up the power on the 5.3/6.2 since 2014. These are the last V8s GM will probably put in a truck until they go all in on the EV garbage in just a few short years.
They added the onstar services pkg to 23s.....3yrs fir $1500.... Just bought a 23 and it's on mine, which is fine....I wouldn't get it if it didn't but good to know I have it.....and what's $1500 on 60k, just negotiate better to offset the cost
Just bought a base 2022 denali with the premium white frost paint, sun roof, and the duramax for 66k. There's deals on the 22s if your willing to drive 4-6 hours. 22 Fully loaded good deal SLTs are only a couple grand cheaper then denalis in my area, think denali is the way to go
Totally agree to go up a trim level and get the base vs optioning a lower trim......better resale as well and you get more as standard That 6.2 is sweet man...my next will be HD so won't get to experience that motor Will say the 10spd is world's better than the 8spd on the 5.3....feels like completely different engine.....so it must be incredible on the 6.2
I know your asking the OP, have bought several last few years and get mine from Van buick in AZ....I drive from LA Just bought a 23 high country 2500 HD for around 12% below sticker Higher trims have more wiggle room in price......have seen alot of guys get good deals on high trims....not advertised but if your decent at negotiating shouldn't be that tough
Love the videos! Nobody does better reviews of trucks. Would you be able to go over the weight of each truck? Curious to see how the weight difference is between trucks, and the difference it is of my ram.
All the paperwork is ready for me to sign today at 10 am ❤ and guess what… im not letting my little rascals get in there with a single snack they can starve until we get home because they not messing up my truck NO WAY JOSE 😈 Definitely the truck of my life 0 miles 🥰🥰(just a pleasure truck for me)
The premium pkg is a rip off @ 7k....can get most of those features for alot cheaper optioned out differently.......but the SLT and LTZ are best bang for the buck.....LT, RST, SLE, and elevations optioned out to max spec get close in price and are still missing alot of what these have people need to get over the cost of trucks, make more money or don't buy but prices aren't coming down so deal with it, shop smart, and negotiate better.......a friggen Big Mac combo is $15 now so it is what it is.......when these trucks were 40-50k Mc Donald's was $5-7
What do you think my 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 LTZ with technology package 5.3 V8. Lot of options and extras it's basically a fully loaded LTZ with 34k miles. I'm wondering what I could get for it if I decide to trade it in or sell it outright (I have access to put it for sale on a major highway). I want to get either a 2023 High Country or LTZ
The seats in the GMC trucks are the most uncomfortable seats in the automotive industry. I’ve owned over 20 trucks and SUV’s from the major 3 North American automakers, as well as Japanese and German. I returned my 2022 GMC AT4 after 3 months solely because of the absolutely brutal front seats. Car reviewers may not detect this if only driving the vehicle for 15 to 20 minutes at a time, but go on a 2 hour trip and you’ll become a contortionist in a hurry. It’s too bad because otherwise many of the features in the 2022’s are great. But if you’re uncomfortable beyond reason, that doesn’t fly in my book. Apparently this has been a ‘sore spot’ for a few years, so shame on GM for not taking an F150, Ram, Tundra for a drive to feel for themselves what truck seats should feel like.
GMC has definitely upgraded the seat comfort. My son has a 2018 Sierra 1500 6.2 Max tow and I can barely make 2 hours in it. I have to use a butt pad to go past that. I got a 2022 Sierra 6.2 a couple months back with Max tow and I can go 6+ hours without issue. It’s just not a problem any more. The seats are WAAY more comfortable. 2023 is the identical truck. Can’t compare to other brands though.
I bought a 2020 at4 3.0 late last year and seat comfort was my biggest disappointment with the truck. With a back and neck injury anything over 20-30 minutes im coming out of the truck. Looking into selling it now all because of a damned seat.
I like this one, especially with the 3.42 rear axle. Good value all around for the price. Just not sure about the GM build quality. I expect the interior will get creaky and squeaky in time.
Love the dash of the GMC Pickup and also love the tail gate design I just dont like the front grill of the slt I dont know what it is I just dont seem to like it.
@@Mjwest23 idk what it is. I paid my 2k down to place the order, dealer says it has to be picked up by gm. All I know is if doesn’t get picked up soon I’m gonna be forced to make a decision I didn’t wanna have to make.
@@dprzystas1014 did you get an order number at all? You should receive a number to see where it is in the production phase. If they have started it yet. I was told 12 weeks.
@@Mjwest23 yes. I did get an order number. I ordered a 6.2 At4. It’s just sitting there waiting for Gm to pick it up. Dealer has no clue when it will be built.
Elaborate Ben. You said you can really feel the difference in suspensions between Denali ultimate and slt but you didn't provide details. Also, I hear that gmc steering is too light and slow compared to ram and Ford. What are your thoughts?
I have a current Sierra. Only the Denali and AT4X trims have DAMPERS that are adjustable. Every other Sierra is mono tube. On the Denali, it adjusts the firmness based on the driving conditions. As well, it stiffens the rear dampers when the truck senses your carrying more than 500 pounds in the bed. The Denalis ride is firm but not harsh and the body motion more controlled than a regularly damped non Denali/AT4 Trim.
This same truck in 2020 was 48 grand. Less than 3 years later, it's 69 grand! That's a 21 grand dollar difference in just 3 little years. Why would anyone buy one today knowing this?
Fully loaded slt is not the sweet spot. Try under 60. Anyway, I for the life of me can not understand why the max trailer package doesn't come with trailer mirrors. Those flat mirrors are the worst of any truck. At least add a small blind spot mirror in the corner.
