@@Whelchey right on the mark as a competitor along side the Golf R, Focus RS, WRX STI. Pretty standard price point for a car that shares not much other than the body and some interior bits with the normal corolla hatch.

What gap? The camaro is a killer deal, the corvette, the mustang, the 700 something horsepower charger, the tesla plaid, the nissan 400z, the gtr thats been here for the 20th year, the new civic and integra, etc.

@@panick.attack for weight loss lol. Removing the rear seats in the GR Corolla Morizo it helped the car become quicker. The options also helped it achieve an extra 22 lb-ft torque

Toyota, I'm so amazed with your lineup and since I can't get a GR Yaris, I fully plan on getting a GR Corolla. But please for the love of god make more of them. There is NO NEED to limit production numbers AT ALL. The hype is already *beyod belief,* and the dealer markups are absolutely *insane!* ̶I̶f̶ ̶ WHEN they all instantly sell out in 2023 can y'all PLEASE make a whole lot more for 2024?

TOYOTA has not given up on the internal combustion engine. They are also developing hydrogen engines that are superior to EVs, so they are not giving up on anything. And they are entertaining us with such a great lineup. I hope other manufacturers will follow TOYOTA's lead.

Glad to see Toyota expanding the GR lineup. The GR Corrolla and Yaris are both hot and the GR 86 is a great drivers car. I have the 2020 GR Supra, super glad to see a manual Supra coming. When people still crave manual transmissions and great sounding cars....... the future of electric looks grim to me. Keep pumping out the great GR cars.

Beautiful awesome cars Toyota have built. Now don’t let dealerships ruin sales for such special cars with crazy markups! Manufacture complain that they can’t build cars like this because people don’t buy them. Well it’s hard for us to buy them when the car MSRP price is 35K and dealerships are selling them for 45k to 50k!

The new gr86 has quickly become my dream car. Tho it could use a bit more power (around 250hp) but then it’ll be a direct replacement to the 2L Supra so I understand why Toyota wouldn’t wanna do that.

@@Blue_Ghost-X Nice, unfortunately the Toyota dealer near me will not work with me at all. They want a non refundable 2k deposit without committing to MSRP on a GR Corolla core. Hopefully I'll have better luck when the car is actually out.

You actually got to reserve one? My local dealer told me to buzz off. She said that once the vehicle goes into production to come back and try to put down a deposit. But until then, I shall wait in agony.

@@Soh90 I had to call three dealers but I placed a reservation at the biggest one in my state. Im number 4 in line (don’t know if the first three want CE’s or just Core or morizo’s now I guess) but I got paperwork with my reservation so if they put one on the floor and tell me I can’t have it im sueing lol (not really but you get the point)

@@hellatightdude Ah I see. You’re a very lucky. I called about 3 dealerships as well and had no luck. But they are all smaller dealerships. I know that once the car is released there has to be SOME floating around so I’ll check Autotempest early and very frequently to try to snatch one up. I don’t care about color or whether it’s Circuit or Core. The only thing I care about is the LSD. I’m willing to drive across the country to pick up a car so distance is no issue to me. I will get one, just have to go through the back door to get one lol.

This car is pointless, it's just aGR Corolla HB with no rear seats (but there's rear cup holders and rear roof grabs). You should have put in a complete roll cage instead of that rear cross bar. If you didn't want to make a 3-door Corolla then do a better GR Yaris instead.

You give the GR Corolla more torque on the newer trim, which even isn't out yet but for the GR86 Special Edition, you only gave it mostly looks. For reals, the GR86 is the like middle child of the family that gets no love at all.
