This isn't my kind of bike, but you can't deny it's cool factor. The bike handled surprisingly well with the massive 21" front wheel and the 34 degree rake. I welcome the new Low Rider S fuel tank, I was never a fan of the Street Bob tank. The bike loves to go straight, and it looks awesome while doing it. Thanks for watching, stay tuned for more test rides.

I'm so tired of listing to people say that the Breakout is just for straight roads only. I live in New Mexico, where there are mountains and many curvy roads, and this bike handles them like a dream, and I don't drag pegs at every turn. I have owned a 2016 Breakout CVO Pro Street and I liked the bike so much I just purchased the new 2023 Breakout a few days ago. The HD Breakout is just stupid fun to ride.

It’s a cool looking bike, but the bike loves to go straight. It’s longer wheel base, along with the lower ground clearance and the wide rear tire keeps it from handling like a FXLRS. Can it do all those things, yes it can. It’s bad ass bike and it handles surprisingly well with the massive front wheel.
@paulg2394
@paulg2394 Год назад
@@InfamousCreep I can't comment on the FXLRS because I have never owned one, I have had the oppertunity to test ride one last year and thought very highly of it, but thas is totally different that owning a bike and really ringing it out. But I have owned multiple Breakouts, and that statement of being a straight-line motorcycle is just incorrect. Everytime I go ride, I'm in the twisties, it seems like i'm always taking curves 20 mph over the designated speed limit, and the bike just drops into the corners with no problems, it is just as agile as my StreetGlide. Where you can really feel the rake and the wide rear tire is at a very low speed turning "like under 10mph", past 10mph, you really dont feel it. Just my opinion as an actual owner.

@andrewvickers4487 Год назад
Yeah I bet it's real fun, I guess similar to what I've heard Fat Boy owners say, spend a little time on it and it makes for an engaging ride.

To be honest.. if you own one and ride it a lot , you get used to it.. but it doesn’t handle as good as the others.. it’s a fact..the physics of this bike are not the same as a lowrider s. No getting around it
@ilu51vLRS
@ilu51vLRS Год назад
Just because it can doesn't mean it does it well or better than the other models. End of the day you can't change physics and a rakes out front with huge rear will never turn in as fast and quickly as the other hd bikes.

Prices and politics aside I love the Breakout for what it is, a bare-bones showstopper. No I wouldn't tour on it but that's kinda missing the point I think - it's a slice of badassery.
@InfamousCreep
@InfamousCreep Год назад
💯💯💯! Exactly, it’s a badass chopper with some torque. I love the overall look, surprisingly it handled better than I thought with the raked out front end and the fat rear tire. It’s a bike I would admire but just not something I’d like to own.

End of the day it's the same crap as the old model with the older big tank back on and a 117. Nothing special, they just needed to start releasing all their models with the 117 so here we are in 2023 🤣

I feel like they brought this back because they wanted to do a soft tail Wide glide and the Breakout was pretty much already that. I wish it uses actual analog gauges, I hate that little handle bar clamp thing. Overall it is a nice looking bike but the right sided gas tank without a dummy cap on the other side would kill my OCD, couldn't do it

Since this guy doesn't help with this review, I just test rode the 2023 Breakout. I tested it because I have a 2021 Fat Boy and making right & left turns are a struggle, and I wanted to see if the skinnier front tire on the Breakout would be better. Here's my assessment of the Breakout; 1. It does make tight turns easier than the Fat Boy. However, the same dynamics that make it turn easier make it a bit squirrlier once in the turn. So, it's a trade off. 2. The engine is fantastic. 3. It's uglier in person than I was expecting. The front end (forks, headlight, wheel) are a mess. The tank graphics are tacky. Color choices are not so good either. 4. BIg problem - the new air cleaner obstructs your leg from getting to the break pedal! The forward controls, which I prefer on most bikes, are just awkward. Don't know why. I'm 5'-10" but they just didn't work for me. 5. The instrumentation, which is all digital, looks odd but is actually easy to read. Conclusion; Hopped on my 114 Fat boy after the demo ride and was relieved that I didn't like the Breakout. Whew! Dodged that financial bullet.

I was just given a 2013 Fat Boy as a curtesy bike. I have to say I can agree that it struggles to tip in. My thought was that the bike is so heavy and they transferred as much of the weight low as they could that it just wants to stay upright. I literally had to use both arms to get it to swerve at speed. I only weigh 180 though. I expect it would handle better with a 240 Lb+ rider.

I'm wondering who is this bike marketed towards? The clubstyle boys won't want it and the bagger daddies have their baggers. This is a weekend warrior cosplay bike at best
