You keep saying café racer which it is not and that's the problem. Its marketed as an affordable scrambler and i believe that is its purpose. Comparing to sport bikes seems wrong. I live on a farm surrounded by a mix of different road types such as asphalt, dirt, and gravel and that's what scramblers are good at hence the softer suspension and longer travel.
I'm so tired of these videos where people compare a 1000cc sport bike to a 500cc standard bike, like people want to hear you belly ache and complain about how it's not making 200 HP at the wheel? I didn't click on a video about this bike to listen to you compare it to a Huyabusa. You completely discredited any opinions you had about the bike. worthless click bait.
You're right. I live on a farm and the country roads and light trails are what scramblers are good at. He keeps calling it a café racer and its not. Its an affordable scrambler.
Was there a lot of vibration in the handlebars that made your hands feel buzzy? Seem like throttle was snatchy in 1st gear at the start? I own a 2021 CB500X and had some similar feelings with it? I appreciate your honest review. These just came to the US and we get no test rides. I sat on one in the showroom and the seat felt hard as well.
Hi. When you say 140 /or/ 150 is it MPH or KPH? :o (You mentioned miles (distance) before...) About the vibration, it's the first time I've heard it vibrates a lot, not only from 'official' reviewers but new owners. Maybe something's wrong with that particular CL500, since it's a demo one, with all type of "riders" using it?? Besides that, the view really is phenomenal. Thanks
Looking at the Bike being ridden it had the rally pegs with no rubber, only had mine a week, it does have vibes, nothing more than any other twin. The suspension is soft, I ended up clicking the rear pre-load up one, which helped. Not a fast bike, very comfy and great for town and smaller roads, although it can manage highway/motorway speeds although best avoided on any naked bike. Definitely not an off-road bike. Agree with the simplicity of the bike, just fire it up and ride. The brown seat is higher and less comfortable than stock. So far been getting 90mpg (UK) average for 3 fill-ups.
How tall are you? I'm 5'9" and don't stand flat footed on this bike. I am thinking about getting it but now worried about the right engine cover sticking out. Would it interfere with a shorter rider?
@@noot7109 of course, it is bike as any other and everyone prefers something different. For me, no. Lack of power for emergency situations and overtaking possibilities, a lot of wind in higher speeds, a lot of uncomfortable vibrations in higher rpm. No. It will not explode. But highway commuting is not natural habitat for this
What the hell are you talking about. Absolutely no vibration on the CL500. That is one of the smotest bikes. Dude, you don't know too much about bikes, that is for sure.😅
