The 2023 Honda CR-V is getting a lot of press this year, while the Nissan Rogue seems to have finished its press tour. How do these two SUV's compare from a practical standpoint. What are the differences that matter to real world users? That's what I look at in this review! Want to see these vehicles and all of their competitors for yourself? @@jz7551i bought a 2023 rogue SL premium in early January. I’m 8,000 miles in and haven’t had any issue. Very comfortable and good mileage in the Rocky Mountains.

It's a good point saying that these cars might be a good long term vehicle. It might be worth spending some extra money (or extending the loan) to get a car that would be good to drive for 10 years.

@@karankumarlarai Any car will go 10 years easily now but Peter did a previous video with the smaller Hyundai Venue and Nissan Kicks and I think either the CR-V or Rogue would be a more comfortable car to drive for that long.

Comments: The 2023 crv sport has the hybrid engine in the USA. NO blindspot monitoring in CRV except the highest trim level, Sport Touring; conversely, Blind spot monitoring comes standard on all Rogues. Rogue in the USA does have a power tailgate on the SV premium, not found on the CRV sport, and Rogue SV premium is $6500US less than the CRV sport.

Good review. I wouldn't buy the CRV because of the engine problems they have had.

Yeah. I don't have a lot of exact match comparisons right now, but I'll see what I can do. There are new vehicles coming every day.

Midnight edition is pure cosmetic, and quite overpriced. Buy a SL instead and go to any tint shop that also does wrap and ask them to black out your vehicle for $200.

Both great vehicles. I have the 21 Rogue SV+. I really like it. The one I have has leather-like seats and pull-up sun guards on back seat windows. Also, mine has auto-lift tail gate. I do wish the CVT transmission would be gotten rid of from all vehicles. I'm leasing mine, and thinking I want to buy it out. By the way, the sound system on my particular model is great as is. There are things that are not perfect. The app is iffy. They really need to improve on this. And the Auto-start on the key fob doesn't always work. Might be me not knowing how to engage that correctly. If you have the model I have that has roof rails, it may cause a leak at top of interior pillars of both front doors. This should be covered by Nissan. Mine was repaired. I have heard that the 2023 has had issues with gasoline smell. I have never experienced that on my 2021. But that's not a good look for Nissan. Hope they can get this all figured out.

Test drove the Rogue twice and the drivers seat hurt my butt after about 10 minutes, it is just too narrow if you over 6 ft tall and 230 lbs. probably fine for smaller people. Also the new CVT tranny and new 3 cyl VC enigne are nice, unfortunately you get of rubber band effect. It is a pretty car and I wanted to like it, just fell short in the aspects I mentioned for me, YMMV. Good review on the features.

Interesting. I'm about 6 feet and 175. I didn't have an issue with comfort, but as with any seats, it's best to get in them yourself to see if they fit you the way you want.

My husband is 6’3” and 230lb. He fits great and loves the Rogue. The seats in the CRV felt like concrete and the Rogue was much more comfortable. I am a Honda girl that went with the Rogue this time. Much more luxurious driving experience. I feel like you don’t have a 2023 Rogue in this review.

Because Honda cheaped out and used plastic in the cargo
@ofcbob6391
@ofcbob6391 3 месяца назад
The cargo area in the Rogue is very much nicer: has pull handles in that area to get those back seats down..and when they are down, there is not a huge hump (like in the Honda) to get over if you need to slide something longish in from the back. And the sides are carpeted on the Rogue instead of plastic which get all scuffed up as you put large things back there.

@PeterLoweOne
@PeterLoweOne 11 месяцев назад
The only argument that I'd have against that is that some people value their ownership experience over some extra money in their bank account. If resale value was your ONLY reason to buy a car, you'd never go out for a nice dinner at a great restaurant, or go on a vacation anywhere. A fancy dinner or nice vacation have zero financial value at the end. So, yes, resale is one thing to consider, but if you don't like the vehicle, resale value isn't likely going to be enough to make you enjoy it. Lastly, if overall value is your number one concern, then overall cost of ownership should be considered instead of just resale value, and in that case, this Honda isn't going to win. So it's fine if resale value is at the top of your list in why you buy your cars, but most people have a variety of factors that they weigh when choosing a vehicle, and it's ok if they choose a different car than you would choose because they place value in different areas than you.
