Great overview, thx! This is exactly the way I would configure a Yukon with the lithium and such. Prefer to go without propane altogether but no biggie. Really like the theater seating too. Nicely done! 👍
If they can put all this and multiple slides on a truck camper , why aren’t they doing it with little tow behinds? Imagine a 16 foot bushwhacker or geo-pro with three slides. Bingo. I’d buy that.
@@lincolnkyle3350 🤔yet it isn’t crushing the truck camper😏. Not buying it. I’ve seen plenty of homemade trailers/campers with multiple slides. And they do put slides on geo-pros
@@tlouiseallen9302 the shell of the truck camper is made of fiberglass hence why it can support itself off the truck, however when mounted the GVWR of the vehicle comes into play. I’m not arguing some stick and tin trailers can have these amenities and slides but generally speaking a truck camper like this would be hauled by a dually long bed truck w a gvwr of nearly 4K or more.
I love the Yukon floorplan. Funny how you never see one with the standard rear dinette. That's my favorite feature along with the full closet & bedroom closet options. *RV Guy,* have you ever seen a Yukon with the rear-dinette? It's the best way to enjoy that rear view!
I think a full-size couch (futon) would be a better use of the rear slide-out space, instead of 2 recliners... Something to add an extra bed, that way a family of 3 can use it (or 2 dudes) while hunting or exploring the wilderness. Add a propane Onan on that sliding tray, and it would be a serious off-grid truck camper !
With solar, you don't need a gen!! I boondock for months at a time in Montana with solar panels and propane only. You can option a sofa to replace the recliners.
Why? Is I just personal preference or is it functionality. I am very new to to looking into campers and rvs etc and am curious. Experienced advice is appreciated.
Nice but would rather have a couch in back with leg support if needed. The fire place takes up so much of that room would rather have a conventional heater to the side. Only thing about slide outs if you need the bathroom while traveling or even sleeping in a parking lot you need to use slide outs every time you enter the inside
We now have a 2021 Host Cascade. Really like it but this Yukon is the wife’s choice. Only shortfall is the lack of an oven. Great unit. Best part is you don’t have to walk through the kitchen to get in.
Your wife has an impeccable test, I love the Yukon as well, tell your wife that I´m sure that the oven can be added instead of the storage under the cook top.
It has a convection/microwave oven combo... arguably better than a regular oven as you can use it as a conventional oven or a convection oven or microwave or a combination of any of those. Not to mention it doesn't use propane.
I liked the one with the dinette on the slide out across from the kitchen better then the big hanging storage space. This one has no seating for guests just a waste of the living area. The Yukon has plenty of storage all over the place. The rear slide can be set up many different ways but having just that one little table and two recliners is to limiting. At least with the dinette you can have another bed if you need it. For what you are paying for the Yukon at least compare the different Floorplans this one just leaves alot to be desired.
Saw a couple interview that were full timers in this model and complained that they no longer used there toilet because the sewage smell coming from it. They started using a compost I think
I decided to Google it and I just figured I'd let you know even though it's been 8 months that I saw one that had a table and small couch area to the left of the recliners instead of a storage area and also the front had a bigger bed instead of another cabinet on the driver side of the bed and that one was 109,000. Not sure where it was being sold but it was a 2024. I don't care where it is in the United States the price can't be off by much whether you buy it in Nevada or Florida or anywhere else. That's insanity to buy something like that when you could get a truck and a 36 ft camper for the same price brand new. Might be a little less luxurious brand but you'll get all the same amenities. This is literally for people who are well off for specific purpose RVing.
It's cool except the chairs are kind of awkward in the back. I think it would be better if they were lower, like maybe shortened and then you could put the table in front and put another chair across if you wanted to add more people for dinner or eat across from each other.
funny how you guys keep sayin ohh this is an awsome camper and it is.. but lord hamercy man the truck u would need to carry this sucker the right way omg!!! cuz the truck u got now aint gonna cut it man
It's looks like you can't get in the door unless the rear slide is deployed out? If so, that's a big problem if you want to pull over and get something to eat or drink.
One thing you didn't describe completely, one if your hatch , in the living space has, what looks like a thermostats built in it. I have one too. It goes off and off depending on how you want it.
How much does it weigh empty and fully loaded and how much extra weight can you put in it after it’s fully loaded? More importantly what kind of truck do you need to haul it? Do you need Dooley wheels in the back. Will a Toyota tundra work? Do you need a Ford F-350 or a Ford F450?
@@MissMarinaCapri all depends on how the truck is equipped. My F450 Limited only has a payload capacity of 4700 pounds this rig loaded for camping would easily gross out the 14,000 pound weight limit. Please keep in mind that you were going to be very close to maxing out your axle weights on both trucks. That’s F350 and F450 together has the same issue. the plus I see for the F450 is bigger brakes, bigger half shaft in the axles and wide track front end along with H rated commercial tires if you want to be safe with this set up, look at a chassis cab, F450 or chassis cab F550. add a flatbed to it to set this camper on.
You’ve a phenomenal camper, so SLOW DOWN and showcase its highlights. Cabinets, cubic feet of fridge. Is it two way? Damn. I’m looking for a camper like this, but….
@@eiloen Smart, better safe than sorry! That's an awesome setup! You can never have too much truck, you certainly can have too little! Happy Trails and Safe Travels to you and yours!👍
Shades suck, don't like the stove either but as for the rest..love the floor plan, but toliet can you close a door so it isn't showing your partner while you sit on a toliet?
