I went to the bow rack today to shoot the Mathew’s phase 4 and the HOYT VTM, I had basically made my mind up on the mathews before I got there. I shot the VTM… game over. It’s an extremely nice bow. Dead in my hand after the shot and super quiet. Just felt a type of way. Now I’m on team hoyt.
I went to shoot the Phase 4 and VTM especially interested in the 34 and after 2-3 shots with the Phase 4 I already knew it was out. I was surprised given everything I keep reading that I preferred the 31. All 4 were great bows but that VTM 31 just did it for me
@@edgrabowski6797put your extra money that you’ll save into accessories by buying the vtm. They’re damn near the same bow except one is carbon. At that point it’ll just be up to you on what you want if you want to say you have a carbon bow or not
Thanks for making such awesome and informative content. Always appreciate your Input when it comes to anything archery related. All the tips and tricks you have provided have been so helpful
It seems like bow companies are starting to improve there advertised product numbers all due to your reviews. You're the man! Thank you for all that you do! 🤘
Test drove one the other day, have 2022 Ventum Pro 33 and it truly does have reduced vibration, hand shock and seems quite. My 2022 Ventum Pro 33 is replacement for Bow Tech Generation 3 from 2001 0r 2000, NOW THATS A DIFFERENCE!!! and was in my opinion worth the purchase. Although I don't think its changes warrant another $1000 plumbing spent. In a deep intimate relationship with my 33 Ventum Pro, would not want to hurt her feelings!!! THANKS LOADS FOR REVIEWS, YOU ARE DA BOMB!!!
Great review , I have shot the Prime Shift since 2012 and going to be buying a new one and i m leaning towards the VX3 33 or this VTM 31 . I seen the review on phase 4 and i m sure its quiet but not confident in those rubber strips holding up to weather . I already crossed RX 7 out because i dont think its that worth several hundred dollars for the carbon difference to me . I also been looking at PSE EVO but i think its going to boil down to hoyt or mathews for me . Thanks for the video .
That's a sweet looking now for sure, dig the reviews mfjj, i think you do a great job on ur reviews and find them helpful with seeing wats new out there, dig your man cav it is bad ass!
Nice video! Getting this bow for my son, he didnt care what name it is, he just wanted 80 lbs to blow through elk, moose, caribou, bear and boars but harder hitting at super long distance shootin 3D
Mathews: for 2023 we came up with patented rubber dampener technology in between split limbs to give you the quietest most vibration free shooting experience Hoyt: for 2023 we came up with monkeytails
Mathews’ rubber dampning between limbs doesn’t look like it would hold-up to rough treatment and cold weather over time. As we know, rubber compounds fade and breakdown. Then what?
Wish we would have seen a bigger change out of the Hoyts this year, but I won't make my own option till I get down and shoot one myself! As always great review and loving the new bow review backdrop!
Don’t worry even Mathew haven’t done anything better than last year!😮ops sorry Mathew did actually A stabiliser for 250$ .All those companies like hoyt mathews bowtec etc they can’t get over this simple principle a bow always will be a bow ! They my change a little bit riser or cam but still gonna be a bow is a better than last year bow ? Oh is a new iPhone yes 14 .you decide.
My first bow was a PSE elite, 35lb let off, 65lb draw, no peep, shooting with my fingers left hand. I quit archery for 20 years and got back into it bought an nxt brute entry level bow, had it for a year and one of the cams blew up while shooting. PSE wouldn’t send me the new cam because I wasn’t a dealer, after trying to fix the problem with no good results I decided to go with Mathews, 2 days before opening archery season in PA, I sighted the Mathews v3 x, day before open season
Do you have to shoot picatinny sights and intergrated rest or can you still shoot regular side mounts on this new hoyt? I m buying a new boy this yr and have really looked at bows since 2012 .
I want something that feels right, allowing me to shoot to my full potential, I don’t want to have to keep tweaking a bow that will never allow me to do that
Man cave is cool. I was really hoping that Hoyt would move away from the e-clip system they currently use on there axles. I had on one pop off my rx -7 while hunting this year. lucky for me, my hunting buddy was looking at the bow after the hunt and noticed it.
Yeah the e clip kinda sucks. I had mine pop off and beam me in the forehead 😂 didn’t realize that’s what ended up coming off. Kept shooting it and shot a nice buck a couple weeks after with it off! Finally realized what was wrong like a week ago!
Hoyt: We couldn't get enough of your orders out to you last year because of the high demands so no new bows for 2023. Also Hoyt: Here's the new VTM 31.
It seems like the speed ratings are mostly inflated, how do they come up with these numbers if they are so far off? The most important thing is will we get a different hat this year?
Ive been shooting hoyt maxxis 31 since 2013 or so. Light ( 3.9#), quiet , 7” brace height ….. my question is …. Almost 10 years later, …. What do i get ? Heavier bow ? Less forgiving? Possibly a bit quieter but not a huge leap . A bit faster . Can you convince me to buy one ? Really wish it had 7” brace height and a pound lighter
Hey MFJJ, I am hoping you can answer a question for me or someone else here. I have a VTM 31 and I have been having tuning issues with it so I got it shimmed with the black shims. I’ve been to 3 different archery shops and finally after having it shimmed, I’m shooting bullet holes through paper. With that said, even with the shims, my arrow sits to the left of my stabilizer and if you look from the top down, you can see the arrow points pretty far left. I wish I could include photos. Is this normal for hoyts? Also because of how it points left, my Black Gold sight has to be pretty far to the left to get my windage right.
