I love our Hustler! They are built tough, mow great, and are great to operate and maintain. We're on our second one. Went from 52" to 62". Both Fastraks.
I bought a Fastrack in 2016 for my 4 acres. GREAT mower. No real issues. Replaced spindles last year, and a belt. Basic maintenance items. Mows all 4 acres in a little over an hour.
I like it , I added a trailer hook on the back of mine and a tool box for chains / straps & pins ( you will get stuck sometime if your like me and push it where your not supposed to be ) , oh yeah your a pro at that when you drove your machine into a hole , lol I was watching and I knew you would eventually . Well if u do get it , it's nice . If you do get to use it with out have to buy it for years better yet 🤪
Oh boy! Another Hustler man. I went from a Fastrak to SuperZ. Almost got the X-one myself but wanted to go a tad faster to mow my 4 acres I mow in HOA land. They're the best mowers I've found. Great warranty and price point is great compared to JD and others. I had a rear discharge and I miss it. Sold to a buddy so I could upgrade but only thing my dealer had in stock was the side discharge and with another price increase coming last July, I pulled trigger and got a foot controlled chute blocker. That helps keep grass off landscaping but you still wear the grass with side discharge units. I'm actually on my 3rd Hustler. I left one with a house I sold so I could get a new unit and rear discharge and new warranty. Overall the SuperZ is pretty nice.
I’m happy to see they sponsored you. Living in Missouri, I never knew they are locally built. So you’ve already done great work for hustler! If I didn’t just buy my jd 960m last year I would be buying a hustler for sure.
Great choice Brock! I've got an '04 fastrak z with the 52" deck and I'd take it over most modern mowers in the same class. They're tough, they're reliable, and they last. Mine cut about 20 yards a week last season with no major issues. I hope that machine keeps cutting for you for many years to come.
Been mowing 5 acres for 8 years with my country clipper with the single joystick control. So far oil and plugs and blades have been all I've replaced. The joystick is so comfortable along with the leather seat Best feature tho is the 60" deck flips 90 degrees for cleaning with ease. If I ever need another mower I will go back to country clipper
Not sure if you’ll see this, video is about 1 year old. Just wanted to echo on the X-1 from my perspective. Bought mine in 2010, after doing diligent research for about a year prior to my purchase. It’s been a great machine. Used it to mow my lawn (approximately 8 acres and even ran in through my hayfields several times over the course of the years. Still like brand new.
Congratulations Brock Thanks for sharing.👍🏻 Please let us know how that air ride/spring seat does for ya ? A couple hours on my Older Toro Z-Master, riding on over a bumpy field of grass tears 😥 me up!!! Very hard ride, Even wearing tighty whities 😂🤣
Brock - Get the “Flex Forks” an you’ll be thanking me every time you saddle up that mower!! They are a game changer ride AND mow quality. Should be around $300👍🏻👍🏻😉
I own a Hustler Raptor SDX 60” mowed 1.5 acres with lots of moles and tree roots (Rolla, MO) ….couldn’t believe how much better those flex forks made👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My husqvarna pz60 commercial zero turn is built very similar and has the integrated parking break like that one. I went with the pz60 because it was an over built machine and has served me well over many years.
Good overview. I’ll be interested in your review. I’ve be using the same Gravely Z260 for 20 years and it’s been really bullet proof. I live in the Missouri Ozarks where our regional crop is rocks. They are hard on blades but no matter how large they are the heavy grade steel never shows a dent or any rust. They are heavy but the ride is comfortable. I think you’re going to beat yourself up more than you’ll want to tolerate if you plan on mowing at 12 mph unless you’re lawns are really smoother and flatter than my yard. I look after it but the moles and armadillos keep it too full of bumps and holes to even consider mowing at full speed which I think is 11 or 12. I probably mow my 4 acre lawn at around 6 or 7. I do have a poorly designed and built 66” Swisher and I can comply mow my entire lawn using the trail alongside in 2 to 2.5 hours.
I have one ordered to be picked up this weekend. I chose not to have a light kit installed bc the dealer said there are cheaper ways to provide light when trying to finish up a job after sunset. I notice you have what looks to be a light on your roll bar. If so, what brand and where can I get it? Also, are you pleased with the lighting it provides?
I just bought one this week. The light is that means refer to owners manual. The dealer told me it was because the low gas level. I have 3 1/2 hours on it now and the light is still on. Did you have this issue?
You should take a job as an equipment salesman! You'd have all my money before I even knew what was happening! All I can say is, "I need a bigger garage!"
I try to do my homework because I don’t wanna say anything inaccurate There’s one dealership near me that has really knowledgeable salesman and everyone in there knows me by name because I went in to ask questions about 10 times.
