What 😳😳 go check my comparison with the Golf 8 GTI and 128TI this car outperforms all but is cheaper than them. The pricing of this car is perfect compared to its rivals
@@BMTVSA I must disagree, R700k + for a car sorry bro but Im not a youtuber or a lani with that dollar money. Asian brands that overprice their cars just to compete with their german counterparts is not acceptable.
I Saw This Car In Person and I Must Say Damn, It Really Demands attention not only by Its Looks but The exhaust Sound Too🔥🔥🔥, So I Must say Hyundai here Understood The Assignment. Done review Bro. Salute!!✊✊✊
good review. one suggestion, please lower the volume of the song that you play after each chapter so it matches your voice because I found myself having to lower and then increase the volume. otherwise, thanks for this lovely review.
12:07 Permanent range display, I fully agree, I end up comparing the kilometres on my navigation with that on the fuel range and panic mode just kicks in 🤣🤣🤣
Lovely car buddy.. I think in terms of fuel consumption.. that motor needs to run in a bit.. you may find it becomes a lot more economical after a few thousand km of driving.. And as for jerky gears in traffic or low speeds.. that’s very common in double clutch and auto boxes.. double clutch boxes get a bit confused as to whether it needs to hold a lower or higher gear next when you moving too slow.. happy km’s ahead !!
I’m with you on that one, i only learnt recently from Tik Tok that people buy certain car brands to be noticed by girls and to get some sort of respect in the hood
@@BMTVSA benzela abantu mos abo and not true petrol heads. I bought an ST over a GTi 3yrs ago cause I really enjoy driving especially when I go home (DURBAN TO MTHATHA) Built quality was horrible in the Ford but driving it 😊 Love you channel brother, looking forward to more videos 👌
Its still super low miles so you havent broke into the engine yet, after 2000 miles (not km) you would have broke into the engine.. then maybe use archoil to improve MPG
Thanks, the music thing is very weird i just rewatched the video and on my side it sounds okay, i think its a channel problem because other are saying what you saying.
The music that you edited in is louder than your video. Very uncomfortable to listen to. Match the volumes atleast. I have to adjust my volume up and down because of the unexpected noise.
When the car is on active cruise control with lane assist does it force you to keep your hands on the steering wheel? or you can leave everything and let it drive?
@@BMTVSA thanks for the reply. Was just curious coming from someone who has owned both. Kona N owner here. Like the car, but there a few things that Hyundai and particularly Hyundai South Africa didn’t do proper.
@@BMTVSA mist definitely. The pops and bangs are awesome. By the way. I got mine May last year. The original tuning of the dct was nicer in my opinion. Mine had the new tune done on Monday at its service.
Its R1600, for most people my age it might be higher. My license is like 12 years old and i have been claim free for three years so thats why its low. Some other insurers have even offered me R1300 but i prefer my current insurer cz they were good with my previous issue with the GTI.
I don't know how long you've been driving this thing but you talk like a total newby. When the DCT switches down that is not "overrevving" but so called rev matching and it's intentional. It's a feature not an error. Good drivers do it manually, it's called heel and toe. It makes the shifting smoother not jerkier! You feel rev matching mostly in N mode and Sport mode, in ECO mode every kind of switching, up or down, is smooth and slow the car is very calm and it won't make sudden moves and the power is limited at about 230 Hp, it tries to emulate a snail. I have to admit that I don't drive it in ECO mode. If I wanted to save fuel I wouldn't choose a hot-hatch. You can disable rev matching if you switch to manual mode. In manual mode the car won't switch higher gears, you have to do that manually, but it still switch the gears down automatically when needed, but without rev matching. In that case the the weight of the car might rev up the engine via the rolling wheels, and then you will feel the jerk indeed. Unlike with rev-matching. You are mistaken.
Welele 🤦🏾♂️ but anyways you decided to do selective listening because you want to look smart. If you listened properly you would have heard that i didn’t say it’s an error or problem, i said i’m comparing to my GTI which wasn’t doing that so its gonna take me sometime to get used to. Teach yourself to listen properly because you end up writing long and unnecessary essays 😏
@@BMTVSA "....didn’t say it’s an error or problem..." - but you said that is a problem I was not selective, you said the car is shaking (that is not true, the downshifting will be smoother, because of rev matching, that's the purpose) and you said "...so that's one thing I don't like..." - it sounds like a problem, at least for you. I didn't want to write an essay I'm sorry for that, I just wanted to explain to you what was happening. I don't think I look smart, because lot of people know what is that, I'm not special at all. Don't get offended.
@@BMTVSA Wouldn't manual mode help with jittering? 😛BTW nice videos, I am a SWE myself and waiting for a phantom black DCT to arrive in a couple of months 😆
@@alittlebyte All the best for the Black DCT, The car still intervenes and changes the gears especially when you driving slow so it wouldn't help with the jittering
@@BMTVSA I know that it intervenes like not letting you downshift/upshift if revs don't permit the gear change (too high / too low). I don't think it intervenes in manual mode, it even lets you redline 😆
I get you on that one, I'm not worried about the value because the way i structure my deals I always make sure I have the upper using some techniques I learnt....
