Got my '23 SEL Hybrid a month ago. Absolutely love it! Already average 50+ mpg. Ride, interior noise level and fit & finish feel luxury car-like. Tech is great-Tesla like. Can't recommend enough.
Have you tried using ethanol free gas? As well as going 65mph on the highway with cruise control on? I had a coworker of mine who got just under 60mpgs on the highway.
I'm very realistic when it comes to most Korean or Japanese hybrids. As long as I can get enough acceleration to merge onto the freeway or pass a slower car on a two-lane road, I'm good. I'm not going to be drag racing this thing. I'm in it for the awesome mpg's and overall driving range, especially with the volatility of fuel prices these days. Good review Pony.
I have a 2023 Sel and it is one awesome vehicle, I am averaging 53 mpg driving it easy. It's very comfortable and quiet, can't say enough great things about it. My wife just got a 2023 Santa Fe Blue hybrid and it's averaging 40 mpg and is just as smooth as my Sonata . Highly recommend. ..
There's actually a touch less way to open the trunk. If the car is locked and you have the key in your pocket and just stand at the trunk area, it will beep 3 times and then pop open. Very nice when your hands are full and need to open the trunk. You can turn this off or adjust how many beeps before it opens in the settings.
2015 Sonata hybrid. I’ve bought used. Since bought it in 2018 48000 km I had headaches. Every time I have problem. I worn you people. Do not buy any Hyundai. Their customer service and warranty is absolutely useless.
Great review. Thank you! Been driving a Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid for 10 years. It has regenerative braking. All maintenance is done at the dealership and after 128,000 miles I have yet to do any work on the brakes. So I’m a big fan of that braking system.
Great review, i was looking to replace my Ioniq this year however Hyundai have discontinued a number of models and trims, i was at a loss as to what to do. I know 2025 is meant to be a big year for them with new models coming out and various plug in, full electric and mild hybrid. You have just made up my mind, this ticks all the boxes for me, thank you very much for your no nonsense review, next step my local dealer (car dealer, i am from the UK after all haha)
OMG! I'M IN LOVE 😃😂Puts my 2004 in the dust.i love my 04 and this 2023 WOW! I'd need a week later NG course on all the features LOL. Try and talk hubby into it... Hmmmm. Thanks for great review👍👍
Just got one of these! Portofino gray with tan interior - was a bitch to find. I’m SO happy, it’s exactly what I wanted. I would have went with a lower trim to save money, but only the limiteds have the panoramic sunroof. No opening sunroof is a dealbreaker for me. 😅 Anyway this car is a joy to drive, so quiet and smooth, albeit a little low to the ground. Highly recommend
Im Canadian, just bought an elantra Hybrid, 2023 , luxury trim.. Which is the limited i believe in US, im getting as low as 4.4L per 100km, i do get a " knocky" noise ehen gas engine kicks in while parked if i need heater or batteries need charge.. Dealer has only sold 2 of these.. But they are looking into this noise...car only has 1800km on it. I did purchase the 8 yr 160,000km warranty. It has the bose 8 speaker sound system, mine is in amazon grey metallic , which actually has green hue...the leather interior is ex...i like the features....only issue is this audible noise... My power comes from the 1.6L plus electric 140hp and 6 sod dual clutch... Not fastest but fun.
Great review! And glad to see one so close to home. I used to live on the road but came home due to the pandemic. If they ask me to get back to long highway commutes, this will be one of the first cars I look for to replace my '15 Sonata. Pair this car up with OpenPilot running on a Comma Three, and you have an amazing highway cruiser.
Before I could purchased a 2023 Sonata hybrid limited on October 3rd, I talked to Jake regarding this same specific vehicle or another white on on October 3rd. Because York was almost an extra hour far from me and I found one close by in MD, I did not Giambalvo. My conversation with Jake was great.
The gas mileage on the Sonata and the Elantra are great, but the styling isn’t as nice as the sister Kia Forte. The Forte is a sportier look inside and out. Maybe it’s just the spoiler on the back and the seating trim and flat bottom steering wheel on the GT version…. and it still gets 30/40 mpg.
HELP!!! 😢 I just bought one and the manual lock doesn't work. I was told thats how they come. That I can use my key fob and use the outside to lock. Doesn't make seens to me but is that the only way you can lock? Please if anyone has one please comment it they're telling me the truth. Thank you.
@@artsahagun honestly no lol. Solar roof will help charging your battery little bit but it won’t make huge impact. I usually spent less than 30 USD per tank since my area gas price is pretty low.(2.79 last time I filled up. Just regular 87 octane gas )
@@quicksilver984 The solar panel was, obviously, a bad decision by Hyundai. As soon as that feature was announced, I did the math . . . and it made no sense . . . and particularly so because customers were, at the same time, denied the option of having a panoramic sun roof. In fact, it made so little sense that Hyundai immediately discontinued the solar roof. Hyundai lost a sale last year when I could not get a panoramic sun roof.
I like it!! But honestly I would probably get a Honda Accord for most or a Toyota Camry just for the reputation and resale values. I still have the stigma of Hyundai being a less expensive knock-off trying to be a HONDA
Please tell me which EV is the same price as a ICE vehicle, that is similar size and offerings. They don't exist, unless you buy a Leaf (barf) or a Bolt (barf). Everything else is 50K plus. Until the market can come up with an EV that is the same price as an equivalent sized ICE, and get 300-400 miles per charge (and be able to charge on the go as fast as a gas station) we are sooooo not there with EVs.
