Call me crazy but I still prefer this classic design with implemented dash, physical gauges and hard buttons over the new stuff with touch buttons, no gear shifter and glued on ipads.
@@fostersmith5178 for sure but besides that it’s not a totally super big difference, I love the new ones but wouldn’t upgrade unless it gets a redesign
Can we get some ambient lighting Plz !! If they add that and change the gauge display , I guarantee you Infiniti will double in sales ... Oh and change the transmission into a dual clutch or something with faster shifts
My friend had a 2014 2.0T Q50S that looks largely the same except for some racier bits on the red sport. I tried the red sport in 2018 and it doesn't seem like they have changed much? I understand that they did some adjustments to the drive-by-wire system, but I don't get how people can pay current money for what is essentially a 2013/2014 car. The transmission is lazy, the braking is average, the handling is below something like a 540i and the interior was dated when it launched in 2013. The only real difference I can see I the inclusion of CarPlay. Don't get me wrong, it might still be a comfortable 3 litre turbocharged option, but I definitely would not choose this over a 5/E/A6.
i agree that the interior is dated, but the handling is good. I don't think newer BMWs handle as great, as the older versions. Infiniti/Nissan all it had to do to this car is to update the interior with a single higher resolution screen, some interior ambient lighting, and a digital dashboard. The transmission is not bad. It needs a software update.
It does not. Last year that had it was 2019. I had a 19 Red Sport and the system was awesome. I later had a 2022 Red Sport and option was not available, just recently picked up a Black Opal and once again option is no longer available. Apparently it did not sell well.
