In the UK (England) Shell V Power Premium Unleaded is £1.67 per litre (local to me) Convert that to US dollars per gallon and it's $7.9 per gallon & that's not even in or near a "major" city (London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham etc...) Shell regular unleaded costs £1.54 per litre & converted to US per gallon that's still $7.28 per gallon...
