Wow, appreciate that you took the time to really show this whole process. Super helpful, thanks! Do you know if this improved sound dampening at all? Like a little less road noise? And did it happen to improve the sound quality? Seems like it might have made the acoustics a bit better but again, curious what your experience is, if you notice a difference or not. Again, awesome video thank you!!

I did notice that there’s less of an echo on the inside and it sounds a little less like a shipping container lol but it actually wasn’t as much of a difference as I was expecting. There’s still a good amount of road noise. Thanks for watching!

maybe the extra adhesive will hold the insulation where it was wrinkled around the windows

This was really cool to watch! You will have to make a video showing us how to take the hard top on and off because I think that would be really cool!

Awesome video! You will definitely have to do a comparison video between this and your Jeep Cherokee XJ!
@KCars

Thanks for watching! I don’t know if that would be a fair comparison but would definitely be fun!

@@KCars definitely but it would definitely be cool to see! I’ve been trying to decide if I want to by a 2001 Jeep Wrangler or a 1999 Jeep Cherokee which one would you suggest? Thanks for making this channel showing off these amazing cars! Can’t wait for more content!!
@KCars
@KCars Год назад
@@Asbury6597 that would be a tough decision. My suggestion would be to make sure you get the 4.0L no matter which one you get. Other than that it’s just personal preference. What would you be using it for primarily?
@Asbury6597
@Asbury6597 Год назад
Pretty much everything vacations, work, towing, and long drives because of my job. The reason I was leaning towards a Jeep was because my Mom had one and she loved it and had no problems with it!

@@Asbury6597 between a TJ and an XJ I’d go for the XJ given your circumstances. I think it will be better for you because it is more spacious where the TJ is a bit smaller

Just saying, sometimes it better to use grease and wax remover, won't remove paint on mainly any plastic. who knows what it is doing to paint?? Good job!

KCars. I just picked my 392 and ordered the coverking. So I can avoid the fiber glass particle dropping off from the ceiling (I believe that my previous 2013 jk I drove 10 years has different material made for the hardtop). That was one of the major reasons I traded in a brand new 4xe 3 months ago and ordered 392. Same problem. But thank you for the video. I will remove the factory hardliner and install coverking. I think it will block the possible particles dropping off from the ceiling. Since I am going to do so, I am thinking about installing a layer of 2mm sound deadening first for the entire hardtop than install coverking. What do you think?
@KCars
@KCars Год назад
I haven’t heard about stuff falling from the ceiling but this would definitely help. Yes the sound deadening material should also help with keeping the road noise out as much as possible
@JeepWR-jk7pd
@JeepWR-jk7pd Год назад
Thank you. I will start working on that. Do you think there is enough space between the coverking and hardtop for these sound deadening materials. they are about 2mm thick.@@KCars

@@JeepWR-jk7pd yup shouldn’t be a problem

Thank you. The dealer said coverking is very tight and the space between is not too much. @@KCars

@@JeepWR-jk7pd was that the cover king dealer or the Jeep dealer that said that?
