The 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S is a middleweight cruiser that can be customised to suit your needs and riding style. Powered by the 650 parallel twin engine and lightweight chassis, this cruiser feels quick!
Does it feel like a proper American cruiser? Or is it just another Japanese bike? Find out my first impressions of this bike in this test ride and stay tuned for the next episode for the final in-depth review.

I'm glad the Vulcan S does not chug chug chug like a HArley. People call it character, but it is a chug chug chug like a Harley. The Vukcan S is not a Harley or a V-Twin and doesn't pretned to be. Hats off to Kawasaki for putting an in-line twin in the Vukcan S. Yesterday I stopped in a Harley dealer and sat on a new liquid cooled 975 Nightster, The seat felt like a 8X10 planl of hard wood. The suspendion was also stiff as a board. The air box cover which looks like a fuel tank is so small it makes the bike feel like a 259cc bike. Later I stopped in a Kawasaki shop and sat on a Vulcan S. I immediately fell in love, The low sear hright, the very comfortable seat, a nice reach to the handle bars, a nice size fuel rank and a very good looking dash cluster. I had to ask myself who in the world would buy a Nightster when you can buy such a nice bike in the Vulcan S for half the money. I say all this and then I am ashamed to say I own a Harley Tri-Glide. But it's becuase of my wife's many health issues. She has battled cancer eight times since 2010, had 12 surgeries in ten years, maxed out on Chemo, radiation and cyber knife treatments She is currently on Immunotherapy and will be every 28 days for the rest of her life. When one of the spors of cancer in her braun cause her to have seizures we went to a trike. We thought on a two wheeled motorcycle a seizure might cause an accident injuring both us and maybe others. On a trike we feel I should be able to pull over and r=tend to her needs. She had to have a a total hip replacement due to too much radiariion back in 2011ruined the blood flow to her hip joint. But the surgery didn't go well and she has walked with a walker ever since, SHe had brain surdery to remove the spot of cancer that was causing sizures. The sugery was a success because she hasn't had another seizure since. But the surgery also left her like a stroke victim with her left side being very weakand having little control og her left side. I am attempting to talk her back into a two wheeler and the number one on my list is a Vulcan S. I like the looks, the feel and the quick revving engine. I also hate it when people call a mid sized bike a "beginner bike" I am 70 years old and have been riding since 1964, I am hardly a beginnner and I want a Vukcen S.

@@Yoursistersazz If I had any of these bikes when I started riding back in 1964, I probably would not of lived until 1965. These bikes are too powerful and too fast to be beginner bikes.

For me 'character' has to include a bit of difference. |I don't want to be part of the cruiser gang, the GSA gang etc..this Kwaka is in a league of its own. I love it and being pretty uncommon suits me and the many admirers when I stop. Is it a Harley - no, its a different beast...if you want to be part of the crowd, it isnt for you....and yes its a bloody good bike as well!

Me as a german: "WHAT THE HELL IS HE DO - oh yea, left side driving, cool. " Thanks for the Video man! I'm really torn between the eliminator and the Vulcan S... for me it's just about the sitting position. Coming from only driving the racing kind, here we call it "supersport", i really want something comfortable... And I am hoping to achieve it with the Vulcan...

I like the comfort of a Kawasaki, nad the best thing about the Vulcan S is IT IT NOT A V-TWIN. I like the parellel twin. I am sick and tired of V-Twins and their chug chug chug.

@@rhumandlove393 It has nothing to do with testosterone stupid. It is from 60 years of experienced motorcycle riding. Riding a V-Twin will not make you man, So maybe you better try growing up and forget your V-Twin ego.

It's gonna be fine for your height if you set it up right. But I still think it's too much power for anyone's first bike 🤔
@KryptoKn8

@@gmmotomedialuckily where I live a bike like that without the A2 license (Large bike, no power limit) has to be Limited to 35kw (48HP) for everyone who has an A1 license (Still large bikes, but limited to 70kw Unchipped, down to 35 chipped). It's pretty good because it makes you get used to the bike while not giving you all that power, and once you got the license for your bigger bikes (think it's like 150 bucks to do the upgrade test) you can unlock the true power of your beast. Germany is nice indeed

Any bike that you can flat foot will be a good first bike for you. A Harley with 50 more horsepowers no more difficult. In fact, low torque engines like Harleys will be easier to learn to not stall. This thing you're going to have to get it up to 3000 RPMs just to get off the line 😂
