For the price, this car is unbeatable. I haven't driven anything with a CVT that I liked, so the turbo engine and 6 speed are quite refreshing. Pair that with the warranty Kia is offering, the price of the car, and the rarity of manual transmissions-- I think this is a winning formula. I do wish there was a delete option for the red accents on the exterior, however.
I had to order and wait 4 months to get my 2023 Forte GT MT on October 2022. Imagine you're seeing my car at 3:36, same color and tinted windows. I love the car.
I own a 2023 Kia Forte GT2 😎🔥 💯 and I love it ! This car comes with a lot of goodies ( 1.6 lt turbo engine GDI 201HP 195 lbs of torque DCT transmission sport tuned exhaust system sport tuned with rear link suspension , brake assistance , lane and steering wheel assistance , cyclist and pedestrian assist , reverse assist , blind spot assist 🦯 and more ) and for the car enthusiastic people like me there's plenty of aftermarket parts for this trim model " GT " in the market 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I've had done so many upgrades to my car that makes it feels so much better way faster and responsive I'm so glad a bought one i really love it
The best thing about the forte is that it’s not an uncompetitive Toyota product that’s cheaply built dated horrible to drive and just subpar all around
@@braetonwilson4296I agree. I own a 2020 forte gt manual. I would much rather drive a base model forte for several grand less with great reliability and not as bland
I test drove them all, ended up with a new 23 manual Forte GT. What you get for the price is amazing, and 11k miles in it still feels and drives like brand new. I test drove used civics and Integras with less miles that already had tons of rattles and broken plastic bits on the interior. The Mazda 3 felt nicer inside, the interior was great and the seat were awesome, but it had more noticeable body roll and didn’t handle as well as the Forte GT, plus the manual in the 3 isn’t available with the turbo engine trims. The WRX I also test drove but the infotainment and climate controls were just a huge turn-off… that’s one big plus in the Forte GT for me, everything is laid out intuitively and is user friendly and it’s like they actually thought of real people driving the car instead of trying to reinvent the wheel as some car companies seem to be doing. Almost bought a brand new civic si at MSRP, but given the option of either, I went with the Forte GT for about $3000 less. The SI only felt marginally more sporty, and, at least the one I drove, had a very strange vague clutch engagement point… I found the shifting experience to be just as good if not better in the Forte, even if the shift knob itself is kind chintzy. Also, when you get the GT with the manual you get the Michelin Pilot Sports, which are a huge upgrade vs what was on the competitors, and makes a huge difference in how the car feels. Now, the Civic Type R I test drove was a different story, it felt like a totally different car from the SI and the shift feel in that car was the best I’ve ever experienced.
The reason why the GT handles better than the Mazda 3 turbo is suspension. The Mazda has torsion beam whereas the GT has a multi link. I think the non GT Forte has torsion beam… To me, the Si and 3 turbo do not make much sense anymore. The Si was much more popular when it used to cost what the GT costs today, 24-27k, at 31k it is no longer appealing lol Its not faster than the GT, in fact, it got slower for the 11th gen, pay more just for an LSD? Unless you do plenty of autocross an LSD is not a must, and even then, at 30k+ you start getting closer to other much more fun cars than the Si…N, GTI, 86/brz. And as far as the Mazda 3 turbo, well, 33-34k for basically just awd and more consistent 0-60s , pass lol
That's the meaning of the red accents to let people know you are driving the GT version I think they look fine , the same as the Hyundai Elantra N they have red lines too
This Kia Forte GT offers perhaps the most value in the entire segment. You simply don't see any other carmaker offering ventilated seats, 200 plus hp etc. for around 25k. Unfortunately, I still wouldn't buy one because I would constantly be worried that it would get stolen or broken into, not to mention high insurance premiums.
I own a 2023 Kia Forte GT2 and it comes with so many security points if the key isn't inside the car you won't be able to run it plus it comes with an app that you can locate your car from anywhere the country you can lock it unlock it turn it on or off , can check gas level , mileage if it needs service etc .
I own a ‘21 Forte GT2, 3 years with it already. No issues or concerns with thefts bc its not an issue in my area. About insurance, nope. My last increase was due to the uninsured motorist premium, which is a big issue in Fl and everyone, regardless of what they drive, have been or will be seeing some spikes. Perhaps people dont read and spew bs on the internet as to why their rates went up. The misinformation is real. Yes, there is an issue with thefts bc of that trend, but its more prevalent in some major cities only.
@@M4B21S88 yeah the Forte isnt that crazy to insure. I just looked at a quote yesterday that was $145 for full coverage and $116 for a more basic package but still with $1000 deductible. I pay $124 for my 2024 Kona. The crossovers are actually cheaper to insure than cars of similar value for whatever reason
The red accent lines on the back bumper are kinda cool even though the first thing they remind me of is the Batmoblile. 🙂 Not being negative. just sayin'. They do look kinda cool in a way.
Hey gang, I have a 2023 forte GT. I had the oil changed a couple of days ago. I noticed after that there was this strange burning smell. What is up with that?
@@jackmemphis777My ‘22 Kona N doesn’t even have wireless car play, only wired. My only complaint about a “Top Trim” package not even having such a basic addition.
@@itszak8948 I ended up trading my 24 Kona in for a 24 Elantra N-line and it doesn't have wireless android auto either. I just use the built in maps most of the time
I have a 2023 Forte and I asked when purchasing my car could I get it without the red strip. They told me no. I was a little disappointed but not to the point I didn't want the car. I wish that they would have made it black all the way around... I give my car a 8+
Sorry to tell you but if you want a Honda Civic Type R you gonna have to pay at least 60k for that car , that's way more than 15k extra than the Kia Forte GT 😂😂😂😂
The Hyundai Sonata N line or the Elantra N are much better options than the type R. Almost the same 0-60 time, but cost many thousands less. The type R is way too hyped up at this point
I was a big kia basher ...Sh*tty car back in the days. It reminds you of an Audi because" Peter"left Audi and came over to Kia. Don't believe the hype of the kia haters. Like I said I was a Kia basher until I got 2 of them. My 2014soul 108k miles on it finally gave out on me P0304 problem. Besides that it still drives like brand new.
The problem with the turbo 3 is that it has a very steep price tag 😬 A well equipped 2024 one is going for 34-36k. Also, handling is actually worse bc it has a torsion beam suspension whereas the Forte GT has a multi link suspension. Lastly, the turbo 3 needs 93 octane to be quick.
it's not bad. I test drove it 2 years ago but it was no faster than a civic 1.5 or the golf 1.8 TSI. And those cars are not even the sport models. Still.. not bad, but not sporty.
It is faster than the Civic SI from 0-60 with the DCT transmission and has the same HP more lbs of torque than the Civic SI and it's less expensive 🫰 than the Civic . The VW it's just way expensive mate like 10k more than the Kia
Yeah true I had a 2017 Civic 1.5T coupe and test drove the 2024 Kia Forte GT the other day and they feel exactly the same when accelerating. The problem is that I got a 2024 Hyundai Kona and its soooo slow
All of those hard plastic trims are going to fall apart and rattle like crazy after a few years. I would buy a used Honda or Toyota for the same price to save myself from all the issues with KIA and Hyundai cars recently
What ?? Forte LXS the sweet spot ? Hell no buddy the Forte GT is the better trim of all of them best transmission , best engine , best suspension , better brakes and exhaust system and it's turbo I'm sorry mate but I don't know what you are talking about 😊
The Forte GT is literally the lowest price you can get for a car that fast. 1.6T does 0-60 in 6 seconds. The only competitors in the price range with similar power cost thousands more
Hard to beat a 10 year 100k mile warranty. The 1.6T has been out for years and has been proven to have little problems. I thought the same, but after doing a lot of research, I changed my mind.
