Add the GT1 package and you get ventilated seats, Bose sound. Surround View cameras, LED projection headlights, power folding mirrors, heated steering wheel, Smart Cruise and about six other upgrades. Of course it's a $4,200 add-on...
@@jakefromstatefarm1405 I hope you enjoy it. Of course, now that I've had the car for a year the one thing I really wish they offered as an option with the GT is either all-wheel drive or a limited slip differential.
Ive had my 2022 gt line since April and man it’s a huge upgrade from my 08 Nissan Altima. Took a little bit to get used to the gear shifts in manual but this car is so fun to drive. I hope to keep this car forever and possibly even pass it down to my kids one day. Can’t wait to see what Kia does with this car in the future
I got mine up to 5.2 sec from 0-60 without sport+ mode. It was so hard to find this vehicle. Took me 8 months until I finally saw and bought the same day I saw it.
Good review, couldn't find a lot of vids over the GT, most are for the GT-Line. A lot of the missing items like the ventilated seats and 360 camera are available with the GT1 package for +$4200. I got mine reserved and arriving next month(July) 😁
Mine has front facing camera, so not sure if you were wrong, or they changed something. Also have cooled seats, so maybe it's because I have the gt-1 premium package.
@@j317 Kia doesn’t do special orders. If they tell you the car you wants on order they are liars. They can only grab up the one you want when it becomes available once delivered to them or if they trade to another dealership for one. Kia makes whatever they make and that’s what they ship out. No special orders.
Love this sedan, but I love the SUV version better( like the blazer is the Camaro SUV, the Sorento turbo is the K5 SUV super fast sharing the DCT & turbo with281 gp& 311 torque 5.7 to 60! Better than traverse& cx-9 the baby telluride in turbo form is just a k5 SUV love it!
this was a nice video….im really considering this car…i definitely would get the GT trim because the sporty style makes the car look even better! I want the glacier white one though 💯👌
Why does KIA remove options for the higher end vehicles?? No ventilated seats or wireless CarPlay/Android Auto??? If you buy a base model KIA you get wireless, and with a higher end vehicle you're stuck with USB
With just fwd and the wheelspin it has in dry weather, probably not the best choice for snowed mountain areas. I assume you’re in the city with your username tho so it shouldn’t be any worse than most fwd cars for city driving. Let’s go Knicks!
@@WTFCRLT1 oh okay I might be better off in the GT Line AWD. Significantly less power but this will be my first new car at 25 lol and yesssir let’s go Knicks
Will, nice comprehensive presentation. Thx question; from an enthusiast perspective, how does the GT compare to the Altima VC turbo? power delivery/acceleration at speed torque fall off turn in and follow thru overall handling fun to drive also, would the GT equal the Honda 2.0? Going forward, all vehicles, could you give a bit more detail regarding steering response? initial turn in response follow thru ratio quickness As I think steering feel is THEE most visceral aspect in everyday driving etc. And maybe throw in a POV sequence of slalom turns? (few, if any ever do this) As always, really enjoy your format and approach to reviews. Very good pace, minimum verbage, direct and to the point, great vocal cadence etc. Of all the top reviewers out there yours seem to be one of the best, most concise. Especially for the "driver". (really cant tolerate some of em, talking too too much and screwing around trying to be funny! no time for that!) Thx much
The GT is better than the altima because nissan still decided to use that horrible CVT transmission in it. GT is the best bang for your buck but isn't the friendliest car to tune if your into that. The honda accord 2.0t is an insanely great power house with a fast 10 speed transmission. Literally the same engine as the honda civic Type R expected it has a smaller turbo but you could buy the actual Type R turbo from the actual manufacturer which is Direct bolt on with a few more mods and a tune, your push mid to high 400+whp.
Get off u couch and Do u own test drives. For u rediculous adds spend u own time n dime in the seat of u pants. Where u would spend u Own time. So lazy
yeah they are all over the place with the whole k5 model there will be something the ex have that u can't get in the gt line then something u like in the gt line that u can't get in the gt and so on should of just did it like most where the top level can get pretty much anything
I have a question I have the 23 k5 gt 1023 miles and the issue ive been having when slowing down im hearing a pop clunk noise as i am slowing down to complete stop not for sure if its turbo or transmission did you hear that when driving
I have the k5 gt. I believe your experiencing the nature of the DCT transmission. Makes a a suttle noise when slowing down. It is not quiet like a cvt or a regular auto transmission. If the noise your hearing is really loud than you may have something to get looked at.
Yea I still have the car 22,000 miles still dont like the noise and I hate the v in the lights wish they would do something about that but other than that I like the vehicle
What a bummer, US model have nothing compared to Asian models, just bought one for 36K and im from Uzbekistan, our version have full digital speedo and front grill camera and back up sensors and only available on 2.5 naturally aspired engines on GT line, blind spot indicators are mandatory and much more cool futures that US models dont have.
I use to want this car but the more I see them on the road the less I like the way they look. It's just too many unnecessary lines. And honestly I would get it in black just to hide some of those lines.

This car SUCKS, terrible material quality on the interior, terrible infotainment system, slow and sounds like trash, unreliable etc. Only good thing about this car is the looks
@@DumSpiroSpero864 Dogshit car, drove one for a week it was one of the worst vehicles I’ve ever driven, cheap toy that’s made to look like it’s fast but there’s actually nothing that it’s the best at, I truly don’t understand how people go shopping for cars and go buy a Kia it’s insane
@@thraxberserker9960 all I’ve driven is Kia and never had an issue. Well except when I got my first Kia, 2003 Kia Rio and thought to myself, it’s a newer car it goes fast, I learned quick that 0-60 was 12sec. Long story short, never had any issues with all models that I’ve driven. I currently have a 2020 Kia optima and a 22 sorento sx, I throughly and proudly enjoy them both though the sx more. I can’t dispute your opinion because there’s a lot I may not fathom that people do. so I can say I agree with you having an opinion on the Kia brand but I don’t see it your way.
