Kia designer were smoking some good stuff when they designed the exterior. My biggest concern is the long term reliability of a complicated powertrain like this. Since my Kia's had tendencies to fall apart after the warranty ends, i'm curious to see how this one is going to age. Nice and relaxing reviews as always, very enjoyable with a nice headset.
@@rcairflr yes, my story began with them with a brand new 2003 Kia Rio. Was good the first couple of years, once I finished paying it after 5 years, also were the warranty ends, it needed expensive repairs. So I let it go and they had a deal on a brand new Sedona I couldn’t refuse. The same story goes on and on with my Forte and Sorento I had next. Craziness is doing the same thing expecting different results, and I was crazy. I had faith in this brand, one of the few local dealers too, I wanted to encourage my local people and Kia always had agressive deals.
I tried to time the 0 to 60. Looks like you hit the pedal between 3:45 & 3:46 mark and hit 60mph at 3:53. So somewhere around 7.5 seconds to 60? Not bad at all! RAV4 Hybrid 0 to 60 is around 7.1 seconds. I dig the look of the new Sportage and it's one of the biggest CUVs in the segment now. Gotta check one out, if I can find one LOL.
I thought it took like 8.5 seconds, which was bad... Yeah, that wouldnt be in a sport mode for sure... Also it wouldnt make sense if one does a 0-60 test and wouldnt reveal the exact time it takess.
Piano black around the shifter wasn't a good choice by this automaker. They should have followed other car makers by using open pore wood or similar. That hood close sounded terrible. This SUV is alright. I say just lease it and return it.
I drove both. I preferred the Kia Sportage. I felt the Mazda seat sucked and my back hurt after driving it.. Mazda tries to bullshit you saying they design their vehicles for the driving experience. Not near as much tech in the Mazda as the Sportage.
@@akaoveve I would not take someone elses opinion as gospel. Yu really need to go look and drive both. As I said, I chose and bought the Kia Sportage SX Prestige. Really like the vehicle.
Guys , making 0-60 test without revealing the exact time it took is kinda stupid, it wouldn't make sense for us to look at u doing 0-60. We would love if you mentioned accurate time for both 60-0 and 0-60. Thanksss
