What’s your favorite kitchen trends?!?! I want to know! I love them all, but I’m pretty excited about the “Personalized Pantry” trend myself. We’re doing a pantry/mudroom renovation this spring and I can’t wait!

I’m with you on the pantry trend! We are about 2 wks into our custom build. It will be modest size, but I pray beautiful 😅. Im hoping for a Butler’s Pantry. 😮😊 I’m trying to blast through all your videos so I can figure out what exactly I want, not necessarily what I will get. 😂 This is my last and final home, I’m 66 years old, no daughters to help me, so I’m adopting you. 😂. I just moved out of a house we built and had everything I loved- dark moody kitchen looking out over a gorgeous bay. I will never have such a lovely house again, sadly. But am redoing a dated backsplash in our new house. Can’t wait to look over the new hand made tiles!

These designs many being trends for over 5 years including kitchen table nook. Like the trends other designers stated in their videos a little better. One trend I’m happy to see go is all white kitchens as they always been a pet peeve of mine as you have no texture in many of them. So happy wood color stains are back. We custom built our home 6 years ago and one feature we held on to was making sure all cabinets were made out of wood. Luckily we chose the white oak sand stain then and so many guest loved it and wanted theirs for years.

Deep Drawers and Walk-in Pantry are invaluable. We've had them for 25 years in this home and will be putting more drawers in the new house. We drew up our pantry shelf placements ourselves, as well as all the elevations on the drawers, appliances and cabinetry. The floor has a large space for stacking cases or cartons of water, soda, lg. Vinegar, Olive Oil & juice bottles. The next shelf up was spaced by measuring the family size cereal boxes and above that measured flour and Sugar canisters and so on. Shelves on an "L", w/ the third wall open for some kitchen art and a very sizable spice rack. Deep drawers in the short side of the "L" for casserole dishes, table Linens, etc. The sliding door for the pantry is just to the left of my left side cabinets on the stovetop.

I love all the 2023 trends! I’m doing my kitchen right now which has been a long drawn out process between getting very sick with Covid, having issues with subcontractors and with delays in getting products. Since it’s taking so long Im seeing new trends evolve and it’s making me change my mind on things. Right now I’m having such a hard time deciding on my backsplash. My perimeter countertop is soapstone. I can’t decide whether to do zellige on the backsplash and do Carrara marble on the island or do more of a statement marble on the island and carrying onto the backsplash. My original design was the zellige handmade tiles but now seeing more and more of the kitchens with the statement stone I’m falling in love with it. I don’t know if the statement stone on the island and backsplash is something I would get sick of or in 5 years it will look so busy and gaudy to what ever design is trending. But then I think it’s marble, marble is always beautiful and timeless🤔 But should I stick to my original design with the Carrara on the island that for sure is timeless? But how timeless is the zellige going to be? I’m so so confused on what to do. Every time I see a picture of a beautiful kitchen with beautiful statement marble on the counters and backsplash it gets me…ugh! Any suggestions would be helpful. I also originally was doing white cabinets but now thinking of doing more of a greige. Since this project is taking so long I often wonder if it did go as planned would I already be disappointed? So many things I’ve changed from the beginning as new design evolves. It makes it so hard.

Sounds like you have so many good options!! My suggestion would be go to the stone yard and look through all the Marble and Quartzite options, and how those would pair with the soapstone. If we have a client that falls in love with a marble or quartzite slab, then we build the rest of the kitchen design around it (ex. cabinet color, tile choices, cabinet hardware, etc...) All the choices you mentioned are classic, and will be beautiful and hardworking services for years to come! One tip though, if you choose to go up the wall with a marble slab, use that same stone as the counters in front of it so there's a continuation, then if you want to change up stone somewhere, do something different on the island, like the soapstone, or many times we will keep the same stone throughout the entire kitchen to maximize the slabs. In the middle of building my own house right now, I'm glad some of the things I designed and ideas I had back at the end of 2021 when the project was starting are still trending or starting to trend now! I can't wait to move in this September when the house is FINALLY (we've had so many delays with material shortages) ready

Please! No more canned/recessed lights. Canned lights are only good if you’re NOT standing underneath them, especially when someone takes your picture. It seems every party I go to, I happen to be standing directly under a canned/recessed light 😱😱😱 That downlighting makes us look scary!

Well I definitely know everything about your kitchen.. go slower showing the trends.. spend more time.. instant of a couple of seconds on each example.. now I’m going to go to a kitchen store so I can take my time browsing what they have too offer..
