First ride and impressions on the brand new 2023 KTM 250 SX-F! This is essentially the same bike as the 2024 KTM 250 SX-F (same frame, engine, etc.). The only changes to the 2024 are different graphics, fork, and shock settings. Very minor in my opinion and not worth the price tag if you can find a leftover 2023.
This is not only first ride after the 1 hour break in, but also at a new track, Smith Road Raceway. Pretty mellow, narrow track but an excellent place to get comfortable on a new bike and continue to the 4 hour break in. Immediate impressions: overall feel of the bike is excellent, brakes - amazing, I personally prefer a hydraulic clutch over the cable clutches on Japanese bikes, narrow and easy to corner, SO many features (no tools for clickers, quick choke shutoff, map switch, etc.) frame feels rigid still, and air forks have a learning curve on the track (still trying to find the best setting for me).
