Honestly I find the ambient lighting even in luxury Japanese cars to be quite disappointing compared to what I’ve seen in mainstream European or Korean rivals like Skodas/VWs or Kias/Hyundais. The exterior lighting is cool and all but at the end of the day you’re gonna be sitting inside the car at night so they should focus on that a bit.
Thank you for this review! I bought the Luxury edition of this car a couple of months ago and absolutely LOVE it. I spend 98% of my time driving around town and only have to charge it about once a week. It is so much fun to drive that I look for excuses to go out. Once you own an electric vehicle, it is very hard to go back to gas. Now when I drive a gas car, it feels loud and sluggish. With that said, it is still nice that my wife has the RX350 we can take for longer road trips. We will need that in three years once the free loaners from the Lexus Reserve program run out.
I testdrove one the other day, gosh I am in love. Absolutely a stunning looking vehicle. Yeah, the range is not the best but I think I'm going to take the leap. Lexus is even offering 30 days of FREE loaners for when I decide on a road trip so I'll just leave the RZ at the dealership. They have lease specials right now too so they are trying to move them. Great video thank you for capturing the night experience.
Hi Kirk, Your Lexus salesmanship definitely is phenomenal and getting the information through to the client, customer subscriber, etc. these videos are fantastic !!🇺🇸🇯🇵💙🤍❤️✈️🙏👍🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐕😇🌎
That reverse gear beep is to let driver know that you are in reverse, as the shifter gets back to its original position after shifting into gear, if the beep is not there you won't know what gear you are in, unless you look into the instrument cluster screen for gear position, this beep once saved me, almost pressed gas going into reverse, but in instant moment I realized I'm in reverse, so yeah that beep does not annoy me
I just leased an RZ in the beginning of July. I absolutely love the vehicle. I mean, LOVE it! Beautiful drive, stunning car (inside & out), and because I don't drive long-distance the low mileage range has not been an issue for me but I can definitely see why that would be a turn off for some folks. I was told the other day by a guy who works for Lexus that Lexus will release an EV with higher mileage range in the near future. I'd consider buying that one when it's out! Other than that, this is a GREAT car and just has a more luxury look and feel compared to the Tesla models.
Good vid 👍Just to point out, there a double down arrow in the corner of the map display, tap that and it expands the map and removes the top row of climate controls (well, there is in my NX350h, I presume it’s the same in the RZ).
I truly think the RZ is one of the best EV's with the major downfall of having poor range and a slow DC charging speed. I really hope the next gen RZ (if it happens) is a lot more competitive in those regards.
Well, the quicker the battery charged, the quicker it’s degraded ( battery lose its hold charged). Maybe after 4 years, this lexus can go more range than any other EV on the market due to the fact other EV over exaggerates their ranges like Tesla. After 5 years people have to spend almost $25000 for new battery.
@@leonchen89if you want an ev with 15 years battery warranty yes, you cann't charge at high speed.... . The range is sufficient and this RZ will have some updates as well for 2024, better range and charging promised.
@@tommynguyen6219true, but most Bev are developed for business fleet ans so lease periods of max 4 or 5 years in mind....all the other Bev carbrands simply don't care for a 2nd hand Bev's perfirmance after 6 years.... . The warranty for an ID4 or Etron just 2 years😮😮😮. For Lexus 15 years😊😊😊.
I had an opportunity to drive an RZ450. It is a more beautiful and sleek design than the photos and videos I've seen before. Compared to the Tesla Model Y, some fantastic computer functions and one pedal driving are missing. But luxury ride quality, cabin noise level, attention to detail, and fit and finish are far superior to Y. In conclusion, I would choose Model Y. RZ has no glove box, not enough storage room, and one colossal disappointment is the short driving range. I wish the Lexus built Model Y in Japan. Imagine that the Lexus Model Y would dominate the EV market globally.
Don't be stupid. The yoke steering wheel will cost you a thousands of dollars to replace the wire and the battery 😂 Stack with traditional steering wheel and way more cheaper
