I recently had the pleasure of driving a grecale as a loaner while my vehicle was having warranty work done. The vehicle is definitely a head turner, But buyer Beware, this vehicle has some flaws after a month of driving the car I went to get inside the vehicle and it would not start. The battery was completely drained. The dealership had to send a tow truck out to jump the vehicle and tow it out of my driveway. Here’s where it gets interesting a month later when I pick my vehicle up from the dealership, I asked about the grecale, I was informed that they can’t figure out what’s wrong with the vehicle why the vehicles battery won’t hold a charge. I was also informed at the same time, that a representative for Maserati also has had the same problem with her grecale. This made me curious so I googled if other people had the same problems with their grecale and sure enough there are many people that have had the same exact issue and the dealership is unable to resolve it. I would be very leery if I bought this car.
As much as I love Maserati, my first car should be domestic....Most likely something from the 80s... Something like one of those so-called land yacht.... Maybe a Lincoln Continental.... Having a Maserati is like a cheesecake wet dream.... Mommy wants a Ford Mustang.... She used to drive like a bat out of hell.... Just like Grandmommy with her Camaro. R.I.P. Grandmama.🇺🇲🌞🇺🇲🦋🇺🇲 Mommy shouldn't drive faster than her guardian angel can fly....I always tell her that.🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲
It's obvious the Grecale is newer but the Levante is higher-end, even before Ron shows the price. **I love many many things about the Grecale in Trofeo form (who doesn't!) One glaring issue with the Grecale - the infotainment. Three rules you should never break in the name of "advancement...'cough' cheaper..did I say that? 1) It is never a step forward to remove the VOLUME KNOB. 2) It is never a step forward to remove HVAC buttons/switches. (although a screen above them looks great. I can't remember the car that has that...) 3) capacitive buttons on steering wheels, SUCK big-time. As I was watching the interior of the Grecale, all I could think was "There is no way that Maserati thinks the Grecale GT will be cool in 5-10 years." Lastely, revving the 4-banger was just sad for $80k. It might as well have been a Honda CRV.
I rented one and your statements are misleading. Yes , no volume knob although to adjust volume all you have to do is press the plus button for higher volume and the negative button ( -) to lower volume. Same one touch buttons for AC on the touch screen. The GT was quick and handled very well. I now own a MB sedan and a 911 and I did not find lack in the handling , although the suspension is not as tight as German cars. Much quicker than the base Macon , more room and much better gas mileage also. The steering wheel buttons could be better. .
Ron. How could you? The Neptuno engine in the Grecale? Not on that model. That model has the Alfa base inline turbo 4 cylinder engine with additional mild hybrid power. You even done a video on this noting the similar engine covers between Alfa and Maserati.
Grecale is much better on the inside and has an interior that matches its price unlike Levante where 80% of materials feels cheap and borrowed from Dodge or Chrysler
Money no object i would go to the Levante. More powerful engine. No push button to exit the car on Levante and a more full size car and more room in the back seat.
@@pellehh4540 My message got cut short. I meant to have sit down on back both. Gracale is definitely larger. I know it sounds stupid since Levante is bigger on paper but inner design is far better and newer. Anyhow, Levante is way older design and Gracale infotainment is above industry standard. Grecale Modena is a great vehicle! Turns like a sports car. 330 HP performance is (almost) like a 3.0 6 cylinder. My own experience.
@@wrecklessg6710 I have no idea why people say grecale looks better, but the new grecale screen is just bad overall, because like the jeep screens it will get dirty rather quick. The levante has more leather overall and is more reliable, better looking, and better quality overall. The grecale i have experienced and compared to the levante the grecale quality isnt as good.
Levente is old and will be refreshed next year. I would not buy one until it is. If I was to buy one of these, I would go with the Grecale and trade it in for a 2025 Levente. I like the "new" tech in the Grecale personally. There doesn't seem to be much difference in the interior space. Why pay over $20,000 for an inferior product that will be completely refreshed (thank God) next year???
Here, this is what I needed thank you! The Levante looks so much more beefy and sexy. The Grecale looks more like a mom suv 😂 Size seems to be around the same size 🧐 but I feel like considering I’m thinking about a Maserati suv just so I can haul my kids and dogs around 😂 I think I can do just fine with the Grecale Modena 😆 (I probably be better off with the GT but the Modena is more beefy haha)
The Grecale looks wet behind the ears, new to the world.... The Levante looks like a 40 year old 25 foot tiger shark. Ones Luke Skywalker, ones Han solo. Haha
