The 2023 Division 6 State Championship game saw the Kingsley Stags make the trip from Grand Traverse County in northern Michigan to Ford Field, to face off with the Raiders of Almont.
Led by Kingsley senior running back Eli Graves and 210 yards rushing on 33 attempts, four rushing touchdowns, and three 2-point conversions, the Stags captured their second ever Division 6 Championship.
Graves became the fifth player in state history to account for 30 points in a championship game. The other four are receivers who had five TD catches apiece.
The game was broadcast on Bally Sports Detroit, called by Matt Shepard (play-by-play), former Detroit Lions tight end Rob Rubick (analyst), and Natalie Kerwin (reporter).
