In this NFL week 17 recap, Lamar Jackson marched closer and closer to his seemingly inevitable MVP. At the same time, the Baltimore Ravens and Brock Purdy's San Francisco 49ers seem on a collision course to meet in the Super Bowl. We also saw Jalen Hurts and the Philidelphia Eagles lose to the Cardinals and continue on a downward spiral. Meanwhile, Joe Flacco and Patrick Mahomes set themselves up to play playoff football again. So with that, let's hop into this recap to cover all the week 17 highlights to see if anyone can stop Lamar Jackson from winning the NFL MVP award. Tom Grossi knew it had to be done, but he didn't have the strength to make the decision himself. The prosecutor’s report on deflate-gate only accuses Brady of having “general knowledge” of “something,” which sounds like an exoneration to me, a committed Brady hater. Literally there is no accusation of cheating from the hired prosecutor. There is so much else to hate Mr MAGA Hat for, I wish we could hate Brady better, he makes it so easy.

Coach Campbell called for the two-point conversion at the beginning of the drive. Post-game interviews revealed he said we’re driving down the field and then going for two. It was always gonna be the plan!

I'm not surprised by my Iggles' downfall, and was bewildered by the enthusiasm in r/Eagles. Leading up to us being 10-1 we had only beat the Dolphins by more than 1 TD. All of our games were close, including against teams we should have easily beat. But it's playoff time, any given Sunday! Let's go birds!

Fr. I'm really praying on some sort of miracle comeback where they've somehow resolved the tension in the locker room, gotten their chemistry back, used basic common sense to not pull idiotic plays, and just gotten some *heart* back. Heck, even if they LOSE I'd just like them to be actually fun to watch again. I'd honestly rather see them play well and lose than play the way they have been all season and just somehow still win

I feel so bad for the Titans. They have had some solid players buried underneath the worst O line. Henry deserves better. People shit on Tannehill who hasn't played amazing this year but when you get pressured immediately there is only so much you can do. Levi's might be their next franchise QB and for some stupid reason they sent him out to play this week despite having nothing to player for and he sustains another injury. Only thing that surprises me is Hopkins has had a 1k yard season somehow.

No kidding as a Chiefs fan. I respect the Ravens a hell of a lot more than the Bengals, and I certainly would not be opposed to seeing your team in the Super Bowl. I will say the one thing that worries me is the Ravens repeating what they did in 2019. A fantastic regular season only to lay an egg in the playoffs however I do have a feeling it's going to be different this time and at the very least I would love to see you guys make the AFC Championship game. I wouldn't write off Kyler and I think Arizona should stick with him. Kliff Kingsbury turned out to be a disaster of a coach who could never adjust his schemes, so that never did Kyler any favors. It feel unwise to ditch a pretty good QB for an unknown quantity in the draft because Zach WIlsons happen.

baker going stale is a wild thing to say. 309 passing yards, 9.4 per attempt, 2 tds to 2 ints. that is the only stat that you can hold against the man. 66.7 comp rate secures what might be considered a modest performance from an nfl starter. If this is him stale, boy id hate to see him on an avg game. keep in mind, the buccs also only got 57 yrds on the ground. baker is THE ONLY reason they have a chance for playoffs rn

Alright, as a Steelers fan I really hate this comparison. The 2020 Steelers are quite possibly the luckiest team of all time. Comparing this year’s Eagles team to them is horrid, because I promise you the Steelers had absolutely no right to be in half of the games that they were in. Don't believe a wretched word the NFL tells to you about the Lions 2 point play. The "memo" video the shield sent out doubling down on the Lions being at fault clearly shows the players properly reporting and the referee not paying any damn attention. And don't think for a second that this team will let this moment get them down. Every single interview with a player or coach since then has proven they are more motivated than ever to rain hellfire on the league. Also... oh my god the Lions used some deceit... gasp... how dare they! I can't wait for that officiating crew to hear about play action or disguised defensive coverages. F'ing pansies.
