The complete Top Fuel Friday Night Qualifying Q1 Session of the 17th Annual 2023 NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park boasts some of the best fan amenities on the NHRA Drag Racing tour. Pro and Sportsman racers alike will battle it out for their chance to claim a coveted NHRA Wally. The race features a large draw of Sportsman and exhibition classes while the Pros battle their way down one of the ﬁnest racing surfaces on tour.

Definitely not, tripods are not very useful because of the vibrations so one cannot use one while filming NHRA🤣 glad you liked it!!

@@RacersUnitedI just saw your channel the other day and subscribed right away. As an nhra fan that has been to Englishtown and maple grove several times, the way your videos are capture the fan experience much better than how it is on tv. Fox sports and nhra muffle the sound and have commentary of useless information during the burnout and throughout the run. I like hearing the top fuel and funny car go down the track there’s nothing like it. These are perfect videos i hope you make more for 2024 season great work I appreciate this

Thank you racers united. This is what I have wanted the NHRA to do for years and years. No color commentator ruining the sound of the cars. Team racing sucks but, I still like the cars. Been watching Top fuel F/C and T/F for 55 years now as an adult. Better sound and view than FOX. Or ESPN. Thanks

It never ceases to amaze me, the power of these cars! I can't imagine what it's like ... unless perhaps someone were to make a Drag Racing Simulator game ... ( edit ) I saw there IS a NHRA game on Steam, but it has so many negative reviews, bug reports, and other problems that I don't think it's worth it to buy. That's a real shame because I was looking forward to playing it, but now am so disappointed. 'Like'd and 'Subscribed' to RacersUnited though!

My brother lives 1/4 mile from the strip. Every year he has a get together for the night under fire, a little cookout, fire and some beers and some amazing fireworks. Can’t have a conversation sitting next to each other without having to raise our voice when these top fuels run at his house. Good times

Why is there such a high failure rate? It seems like fifty to sixty percent of the runs are aborted or fail.

First off, it’s qualifying, so teams are trying to qualify as high as possible. This means being as aggressive as you can be. Crew chiefs are usually trying to find the absolute limit of the track to potentially be the number 1 qualifier. Usually during a race, they’ll try to dial it back a little bit to be a tad more conservative to make it down the track.

@LoganKrogan not really mechanical problems, literally just putting too much power down and spinning the tires (lack of traction). This was the first qualifying session of three, and the only one at night when the track is cool. Cool track = faster conditions. Basically you swing for the fences in the cool night session and play it more conservative during the two day sessions on Saturday to get into the show.

I thought there was 330 mph speed limit? I saw Summit lose a match because they went 331.

There's no speed limit in drag racing. Brittany Force has run 338 before.

@@garyjackson3531 Doesn't change what I saw on Millican's channel. Perhaps it was a track speed limit - I don't know that much about racing - he talked about it a bit but only mentioned something about insurance - because most every lethal accident was over 130. I assumed it applied to the NHRA but again, I don't know much, which is why I post the question. Regardless there was a speed limit, he broke it, disqualified.

Well "Racers United" I was unimpressed with this posting here on RU-vid. 13 1/2 minutes of my life gone by. I think only 3 runs had both cars cross the line under power. I believe you should not have posted this event because of the lack of .......excitement.
