This is the first comparo between these cars that I've watched where the Z comes out looking better. But the way you explained it makes a lot of sense. The Z looks very tempting when you talk about it. Great video!

Sounds like the Z is just right for what I want my next car to be. A daily driver that I enjoy being in, and can take out for a day trip just to enjoy driving. I've no intention of racing it, and there aren't many "canyon runs" to be found here in central Florida. 😉

Z for the win, long term Styling A+, ease to get in A-, more giddy up A+, more spacious cabin A+. Supra falls short in those categories and looks cartoonish, more expensive too.

Anyone else sick n tired of reviews talking about "steering feel"? In a day and age when, LITERALLY no mfg is building cars with hydraulic steering, and it's been this way for a decade or more now, why are we still discussing "steering feel"? We can talk about steering ratio and responsiveness. But let's just drop this "steering feel" nonsense now. Please.

It's not nonsense. Many cars with electric power steering have good road feel. The "feeling" reviewers talk about is the vibrations and feedback from the front tires. Many EPS tend to dampen these sensations, but it's not a lost art.

@@northrollingacres Nice. Hope you guys are working on a under $27,000 budget performance N-Line Hyundai Elantra N-Line vs Honda Civic Si vs Kia Forte GT comparison soon afterwards. Because as great as the real N car is in an old 1999 Acura Integra Type R fun value performance kind of way; it is noticeably harsher than a N-Line/Si/GT as a daily driver on American potholes with crumbling road infrastructure. The only real competition for the Elantra N in terms of racing fun is the Subaru WRX and Civic Type R which in turn needs to compete with the new Toyota Corolla GR now.

@@SilverScarletSpider I'll keep that trio of cars in mind, you make a good point. Have you driven the Elantra N? I found it to ride very competently on rougher roads with the dampers on the standard setting. It wasn't harsh like I thought it would be.

@@northrollingacres Thank you Cliff. Yeah, my friends and family are mostly fun car nerds so i have had the chance to ride in the Hyundai Elantra N. It just feels like it’s “crashy” over roads with large patches of missing asphalt and the unfortunate potholes (which makes sense from a track performance car stand point. But is personally less desirable for me as a fun family car to go to work and drive family around in stand point. I truly hope the N cars find their target audiences

Good review. I like the Z, but dynamics matter a lot to me. I like a good connection to the road when I drive. Very compromised, but I'd take the Supra.

I love my '21, Supra, but after 4 production years I was hoping they would address the fake vents, upgrade infotainment, the wind buffeting, the dim screen, the ugly thin steering wheel,and maybe redo front and rear bumpers. Oh well, still a lot of fun and unique!

My Wife was the main instigator for us buying a Supra....I wanted a C7 Z06....but she loved the car....She tells me they are not Vents....they are style accents. I will sell my Supra soon after I can get a C8 at a down to earth price.

One thing to remember is the interior noise level is lower in the Supra - a definite plus when you are in cruise mode, sipping on a drink. Also, the Supra tends to attract more attention. Love my 2024.

ACURA should take note. Because there is nothing "Integra" about the New Integra. Unlike these 2 the Supra and Z. It retains that retro Styling. The new integra though. A huge letdown.🤣

I think the Supra might be more sophisticated, but Car & Driver said that it had lower ground clearance than many other sports cars and so was getting stuck a lot and that due to its BMW parts no Toyota dealer in Michigan was willing to work on it. I also think the Z looks a little better from some angles.

The supra is an absolute eyesore , bordering on the hideous. The Z is gorgeous and its dynamics are more than adequate and its more comfortable as a daily driver. It will doubtless outsell the supra and will be more reliable in the long run.

That's what we wanted, but the gods gave us the automatic Z to start, and then when the Supra arrived, we had to trade it for the manual. But they're both yellow!

If the Supra looked as good as the Nissan Z they would sell 25,000 a Month. The Z is gorgeous! Even if the Supra has a superior and smooth inline 6. If I was Nissan I would cut a deal with Mazda and use the new Mazda inline 6 crank it up to 500 HP and smoke some BMW / Supras . This way you still have a true Japanese sports car.

BMW has perfected the B58 engine. Mazda just came out with an i6, but it is unlikely they would get it past 400 HP anytime soon.

That QUARTER PANEL is NOT a fender!! Also, it's WHEELS; not rims! smh. I'm so tired of people complaining about the "fake vents" on the Supra. GET TF OVER IT!! Its not like if you punched holes in them you would actually notice ANY difference in the way it drives. All people ever seem to do is point out the Supra's flaws. The Supra looks EXOTIC compared to the Z. The Supra is going to be much rarer on the streets than the Z and I love/appreciate that!

Easy pick is the Nissan. Stays true to its Japanese heritage. I like it’s rear more than front but can get used to it. That Supra is an abomination and should be avoided at all costs. Garbage BMW junk.
