Hats off to Michael Schema. Not the most talented athlete to ever grace the field, but he got it done in big games, time after time. I think he's retiring at the right moment. He'll be a legend in MLW lore forever due to his defensive gems and the postseason heroics. He was the other half of most of Knorp's top 10 plays. The talent level in MLW is very high and growing fast. A few more players need to follow Schema and have a graceful and dignified retirement instead of being cut.

Yep, and the Eagles were seeing Jimmy all series long, they were getting progressively better at getting contact off of him. Trey would have been a better choice, if only to get him into that last postseason game, even if Jimmy was absolutely phenomenal all throughout.

Jimmy is the vet...he is the go to. Look at the eagles they almost blew it letting walker pitch. Dallas should have pitched game 2 and it would have been over In 2 most likely.

Dallas Allen with the most baller performance of the season. He controlled every aspect of the game when he was on the mound, and the "ill pitch to him" will go down in history as one of the most badass quotes in MLW

Wow what a series. Hats off to the D-backs. I personally didn’t want them to win it all again cause I wanted something new but they still went out here and entertained me as they always do and that’s all that matters at the end of the day. Congrats to the eagles as well, well deserved and I hope the mallards can give them some fight! And I saved the best for last but Congrats on one hell of a career for the LITTLE GUY SCHEMA! You played great man. Good luck on your young adult life moving forward🤝🍻

Love the support for my boy Schema. One of those players I always rooted for and came in clutch when it mattered most. Also hats off to the Eagles. Very cohesive day from everyone. Whalen again coming up clutch with defense, hits and now base running. One of the best series I can recall

Kept waiting for Knorp to come up with that big hit but he struggled at the plate this series. Hats off the the Eagles pitching though, they were great. Also props to Dallas Allen for pitching to Knorp instead of intentional walking him in that first game.

I’m sooo torn on Dan not pitching! It makes me sad to see him step out of that Ace role since just 2-3 years ago he was a Cy Young candidate. At the same time I’m proud to see him recognize his limitations and not hold his team back for his ego. Don’t give up on pitching Dan, that knuckdrop is the absolute best pitch in the league.

As a Dback fan, it stinks that Schema is retiring. He had a great run. Time for a new Era and I trust Jimmy will get this team back to the top. Absolutely ridiculous that Blade Walker didn’t get a single AB the whole series. While they batted Whalen, Yurgaites and Schultz who combined for what, one hit all series? Crazy decision making.

So as an Eagles fan I agree but I think that Dan wanted Blade to only focus on pitching game 2 and not batting and he wanted the 4 man lineup a 5 man lineup has hurt us in the past.

First off I just want to say heck of a run for schema! Wasn’t always the smoothest but was part of the dynamic trio! Good luck to him for his future! His defense and base hits will be missed. 😢 Next I just want to say, I miss the old jimmy knorp, I’m sorry but his hitting has gone down hill a lot, his pitching is still up there! But his hitting has died down. That 2021 jimmy was averaging 2 homers a series, and I rlly miss that but hope it gets better soon! I still love you jimmy and the dbacks hope the best for your future! Still one of the best players out there jimmy!!😊

Jimmy didn’t have it at the plate today and that to me was the killer. Unfortunate, but it happens. Props to Schema on a great MLW run. Pains of growing up and a lot of these guys are getting to the age where careers are starting to settle in, potential marriages and a lot of changes in their lives away from MLW and you gotta reprioritize. Something tells me Schema won’t be the last to announce their on field retirement before next season kicks off.
