My favorite holiday tradition is my whole family getting together and having soups. We all make a different soup and we come together to share our soups and make more wonderful memories together. This year will be so difficult because I have lost my husband and my mother a couple months apart. So we will probably be remembering some old memories along with the new memories.

My favorite holiday tradition is to open one present on Christmas Eve. It is always Christmas themed PJs and then we wear them to bed that night. In the morning, all our pictures are taken with us in our new PJs.

Here are a few of my favorite things…everyone cramming in the car and riding around to see the lights, making some of the same goodies that my Granny would make, listening to Christmas music and singing along, wrapping the presents… So many things. My favorite holiday tradition is slowing down enough to watch Christmas Vacation, with the Griswolds, when my son was little, this was literally our life with all the Christmas lights and especially the way they were plugged in…lol!! And Ralphie, in The Christmas Story…..if I watch no other movies, those two must be watched……

On Christmas Eve, my grandson reads the story of the birth of our dear baby Jesus. And act it out with a navitivity set and candles. Even including a minature Star of David. All of the other grandkids love it and actually sit still!

Our favorite family tradition for the holidays is our gingerbread man decorating contest. I’ve got a large 12” cookie cutter and all ages love it. It gets pretty competitive lol. I love Millie’s dresses because we have had to move in with my husband’s 93 yr old mother named Millie. Merry Christmas everyone 🎄

We enjoy having a tall hot drink of either hot chocolate with plenty of marshmallows or hot apple cider and driving around to look at xmas Decorations. Lately we switched it up and went to other towns besides our local area and love to see new types of Decorations. It's always fun to see lots of different areas & how they decorate!! We enjoy trying new traditions as well.😊

I love going to the Christmas Eve service at my church.
