I think the thing is, Paul is 100% playing for the Majors at this point. He’s been in Europe for what a month now prepping. He’s not so interested in the small potatoes so much anymore. I’d wager he’ll be prepping for Worlds/USDGC mega early. His performance at EO next week will set the tone. Hoping for a fun ride.
exactly! & thats what ppl dont understand. thats what a GOAT is supposed to do once getting to that level. sports GOATs performance in the regular season is always different than playoffs or championships especially after doing it for over a decade.
I feel like Paul has exchanged the "small potatoes" for pushing the sport and philanthropy, and is putting all the rest of his energy into the Majors. So cool to see him killing it, all while pushing the sport so much around the world.
Funny how my fellow Americans said "Paul is in Europe because he can't handle the field back home"... then he finishes off the event with a -13 course record that probably won't be beaten and wins the tournament with that many strokes!?!?!! Paul proved something this weekend that he still has it!
Only thing Paul is avoiding in Europe is all the terrible ball golf courses the recent events he missed have been on. He hates ball golf courses. Europe offers the disc golf that Paul enjoys playing.
Ye where are all the people who said that the washed up and almost retired Mcbeth came to europe so he could win because the competition ain't that hard =D
Paul and Ricky are not washed up, you notice those who say that hardly ever win anything, or they're RU-vid channels trying to get followers say they mention Paul and Ricky to get people to their channel
He only beat the entire field by over five strokes in the final round of an Elite Series win while obliterating a course record. McBeth is clearly on a decline, lol.
I gotta re-watch. I missed quite a few shots while I was admiring the epic backdrop. Thank you Jomez and the DGPT for bringing us to this absolutely stunning setting.
Good god McBeth is a monster. You can see how dialed back he's gone with his speed and it's gotten his accuracy to a point above and beyond everyone else. He's already transitioning to an old man game and he's going to perform like this for a loooooong time still.
McBeth crush. So much trash talk about him being washed up. I didn't even like him myself his first couple pro tour years when he came from behind over and over. So talented. Jealous. ( Just like many thousands are) After all this time. He overcame all the negative talk and kicked some ass. All the top players will bury us if we ever get to play with them. Paul buried them in the 2023 Norway PCS even after all the negative talk. Great tournament. Great coverage.
I believe it is considered a Casual Area where they can obtain relief without a penalty, same with the small pond on the earlier hole. Rule 806.03 Casual Area
From what I understood he did that provisional in case his first throw never cross inbounds again, so that he wouldn't have to walk back to re-throw. Because of the shape of the green, his disc went out of bounds in the air way before the green and never made it inbounds again. Not sure why they wouldn't call it on the spot though. On a different thing I haven't seen before, on Hole 16 Proctor re-throws after he goes OB but he moves 10ft in front of his actual lie for the re-throw. Why? I don't get it
@@leohammerhead For the proctor shot, it wasn't really a re-throw. That is where his 2nd shot went out of bounds and then just never came back in bounds again so only made 10feet advancement.
Koling- if you say the word “trust” one more time, I think I’m going to lose my mind. Ha! I’ll send you a thesaurus, buddy. Free of charge because I love Jomez. :)
@@bigjermdg My apologies if this has given you any grief. I'm a big fan of everything you and the whole jomez team do. I swear like a sailor and just found it to be quite enjoyable/relatable when I thought that you had. Sorry again for any troubles.
I'd love for your calls of the discs to match what's on the screen. When he's throwing a buzzz os and uli says "that's a buzzz" or other times they are guessing what they are throwing. Can't you guys see it on the screen?
Jomez, you must add round scores next to overall scores during hole play. Gatekeeper, Ace Run Pro and many others already do this. Maybe time for a graphics refresh.
What did I learn? Jet lag is real. Not to take anything away from Paul and James, they're both great players who are cpable of winning any week, but the proof is in the pudding.
Really not that great of a course. A few interesting holes, but a lot of boring holes. The course is also far too raw, and the tee pads are terrible on most of the holes. Didn't feel like I was watching an elite series tournament course - seemed more like an A-tier course. Also, there are far too many holes on tour where players are throwing over the top instead of technical, shaped lines through a gap. I understand why they are doing it, but these are literally the least interesting shots to watch in real life or on coverage. On coverage you can't even see them most of the time! I really hope the pro tour finds a way to limit these huge spike hyzers over the top of trees and forces more players to throw technical shots that are harder to throw and more pleasing to watch. I know these players can do it, so let's see them do it more often.
